The new o-ring is available, my dealer changed it for me and i have 5.2H on the bike riding in minus degrees celsius and it has been flawless!

Is there a part number associated with the new o-ring? Any other info we can give our dealers in case they say "I don't know what you are talking about" or "I haven't heard of any issues"? And unless there is a recall, I suspect some of us will run into this issue.

I don't know the part number but i actually touched the stock and the replacement o-rings and the replacement o-ring felt a bit softer.

I really hate how akros slip on can't be used with their head pipe you have to buy the whole system. Although I love the look of the akro head pipe the ktm head pipe makes the same power. Quite a few big name company's fmf,pro circuit, rocket etc said the couldn't make any more power with a dif head pipe and the ktms is very very good. Slough not the prettiest it is functional.

The akro exhaust are by far the best built exhaust I've ever owned!

Oh and be prepared to send your ignition out right away because with that exhaust it has to be remapped. Digger has one and I was over his house and we were trying to get it to run right with the stock ecu by adjusting the tps with no luck. It needs a map. Tokyo mods did his and now it's perfect!!

Thanks for the heads up. I agree that it sucks the stock silencer doesn't fit the head pipe. I didn't think that would be the case when I ordered the bike. I ended up getting the exhaust for $1300 to my door and thought that was a fair price considering the FMF was about $1000. I miss the two stroke days when I was younger and $150 got you everything.

Would you recommend just getting the tokyo mod done or the vortex with selectable maps? I have about 10 gallons of U4.4 that I need to burn and not sure if I want to keep running leaded fuel. No fuel restrictions here, but may be an issue down the road.

Verdict on the ECU shootout?

I'm not a KTM fan by any means, but it does look good.

But you can't justify the price tag that comes with it.

Crappy cell phone pic but this is 3 of the 5 new FE's that were at the track with us yesterday. Too hard to tell on the Vortex vs my stock remapped ECU because the track is just too sandy. I'll ride it Sunday at a different track with much harder dirt. Ton of fun and it was a beautiful day and the track was mint.

Got the call. My bike is in. For those waiting on an April delivery, my dealer got the 4 he was expecting.

Liking how hidden that Rocket exhaust is!

One thing that bugs me about the new shape KTMs is how exposed the muffler is... The FMF and Akrapovic seem a bit longer than most now too... Is the Husky the same?

FC revalve on AER forks? Can you give us a comparison between them, cone valves, and stock AER's

Two questions: any pointers on how to install the raptor foot pegs. I saw another post with vise grips but doesn't work with raptor pegs unless I'm totally wrong on spring placement. Also see pic. Should the stock muffler be touching the side panel or was this installed incorrectly from the factory or dealer.

I don't know about the pegs but mine has heat tape on the backside of the plate. Also, if noise is not an issue, remove the spark arrestor from the muffler. It's very restrictive, you will notice a significant improvement in throttle response and power. It will be louder tho

Thanks. I have a full akro system I'm installing tomorrow. I had my dealer flashy he ECU with KTMs akro map so I will see where it's at. Just was curious why the tolerances is zero on that considering they had issues last year.

Is there any adjustment to the clutch? I had changed my levers to arc memlons and can't get the clutch to engage if I'm using one or two fingers. If I pull it all the way to the grip I'm good. Just don't want to move the lever all the way out and have to reach for it.

What air pressure are you guys running in the forks? I broke mine in with the standard 156psi but haven't tried any other numbers yet. I weigh 185lbs and like the forks but feel like they are riding very high in the stroke without any sag. I was dragging front brake thru the turns to hold them down and get the front wheel to bite. Anyone have a similar feeling? Anyone tried other pressures and what are your thoughts. Before I start trying different settings would be good to know if anyone has already found a good direction to go in.
Got my bike last week. Broke it in Friday and rode a couple hours on Sunday. Now have 3.5 hours on it. Let me first say...Damn, what an improvement over the 4CS forks!! So much more plush. They actually ride over square edges without having to go to the dentist afterward. They don't dive through the stroke. There is no harsh mid-stroke. The bottoming resistance is very good.

Now, more on the critical side, I totally agree with you. However, I'm not sure reducing the air pressure is the answer as it may have a negative affect on the rest of the good things about the forks. I did see MXA said the forks are 12mm longer than the 4CS forks so they raised the forks in the clamps so that 12mm was showing above the triple clamp. It looks crazy when you see forks raised that high. I am going to try that this weekend to see if the bike will ride a little lower in the stroke as the weight will now be transferred more to the front.

I raised mine up 12mm to top of tubes. The caps almost touch the bars. Rode Saturday and Sunday on a high speed track with a lot of chop all the way around. Raising them made a huge difference. The bike now turns like my 15.5 did. I didn't get any head shake raising them up, even on a rough 4th gear downhill with a hard 180 at the bottom. Between raising the forks and removing the spark arrestor the bike feels and runs like my 15.5 now. Pretty happy with it
