Why is writing different? I know there is a complex thought process involved in converting thoughts to written symbols, and that our society views literacy as some kind of unnecessary afterthought, but when I read something written at a fourth grade level of literacy, I think: idiot.

He didn't speak like an idiot, he wrote like one. If he talked to someone in a 5 minute run on sentence then I'm right there with you. Has his lack of grammar and sentence structure made you swear off the product forever? Better not be a fan of Reed or Yamaha. Apparently they support idiots.

My original point was that someone doesn't have to be the sharpest knife in the drawer to be a CEO. You need a good idea and a proof of concept with good follow through. Creating a strong workforce and using the intelligence of the employees below him to push the company forward will work better than doing it all by himself. Case in point, he should have had the PR department write it up. He didn't. Maybe they need a PR department now. Plenty of people on here would be perfect for the job. Wink

At least he owned it, bad grammar and all.

Lets not kid ourselves. If you read something from the CEO of a Million or Billion dollar company it's been proofed and fixed by someone in PR. Even if they don't add words they sure as hell add inflection and fix spelling errors.
As a fantasy sports website owner, I see a lot of guys/gals that have great ideas and articulate thoughts about a subject on social media or on a podcast. When I ask them to submit an article for me to review there are almost always grammatical errors. That's what editors are for. It looks to me he was putting out a passionate rant on a social media platform and hit submit without looking or editing. I don't speculate on contract breaches, I'm simply pointing out that ripping a guy for grammatical errors on his personal social media, not official company documents, is dumb.

360 fly, are they in or out?

Is this enough to get Reed super-pumped and back on the box this weekend?

From watching qualifying it Doesn't look like he is to pumped, he didn't look as fast as usual and quite of the pace

Yeah, but he's a sneaky ol dog, always seems to race way better than qualifying.

There's been numerous times when something like the camera fiasco has brought out the fight in him.

Just wondered if he was running the 360fly logos and/or possibly had a point to prove tonight.

Heard somewhere that Matthes had said that Reed felt liked nobody seemed to care about him anymore with his latest results. Not sure if that was a joke or not.

Would be fun to see about five or six of them battling for the lead in some races this year.

It amazes me how many of you are so negative about Monster. Without their financial commitment to Supercross and our sport in general, say goodbye to the Live TV, amazing series growth, exposure, and overall size of the sport. Their involvement goes far beyond title sponsorship with support of several top teams and athletes. The same could be said for Red Bull.

Do you see Target, FedEx, or Home Depot knocking on the door to throw millions at the sport we all love?
Exactly

As Monster's communication director, it'd be great if Eric Johnson would communicate to fans of mx why Monster is giving the shaft to another sponsor of the sport who's only wrong doing has been to use the same color in their logo as the color used by Monster. Eric, would that communication include how GoPro fits into the mix?

Does that mean Monster gets a pass when their heavy handed tactics drive other sponsors away from the sport? If they were really in it to build the sport, they wouldn't be throwing their weight around as they do.

Dude, EJ is a legend. You have most likely read thousands of his stories and interviews in Racer X. Show some respect.

I think both sides should have to respect and adhere to the terms of their contract that was agreed upon.

Apparently at least one of them didn't. The million dollar question is which one didn't, or maybe it was both of them.

Not adhering to the contract is disrespectful.
