Ktm 250sx led light bar

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had any opinion on what lights work the best for riding at night. I'm doing a 24 hare scramble in New York this year and have to get some lights on my bike. I'm going to get the moose racing lighting coil for my bike that puts out 100W and I want to go the route of light bars instead of the traditional headlights. I was wondering if anyone had and experience with running like a 6 or and 8 inch light bar on the handle bars?

Whats your budget and what class are you going to be running?

I want to keep it under 500 but it's the sportsman class but I race expert class in the d14 hare scrambles in Michigan.
