Yup. Hopefully he's able to turn it around. Todd seems to be in a really good place now. Just heard him on Dan Patrick's show not too long ago and he was very honest, forthcoming and aware. It was pretty cool. Hell, even Ryan Leaf was on his show today and he seems to be in a much better place now. He said looking at Manziel is like looking himself in the mirror. Leaf said going to prison was the only thing that kept him from killing himself. It was a really good interview. Hopefully manziel gets his shit together just for the sake of his life. To hell with sports, get yourself together first and foremost.

Johnny Eight Ball is a joke.

I always wondered why a kid born and raised in Texas has no southern accent what so ever. Personally I don't care for him because he's more concerned with being a celebrity than a football player. If he worked hard and played to his full potential, then the celebrity factor would take care of itself.

Man I hope Todd is alright now. I always felt bad for him and wished he would straighten things out.
I think Johnny is more like Leaf, just a dip shit.

Todd has become a hell of an artist. He does a lot of paintings and has been featured in some galleries. I really enjoy his interviews he does now.

Remember the discussion about how the Browns shouldn't care about the young man and shouldn't bench him because the fans paid to see him on the field and nothing else mattered? Yeah, I do too. That modified approach may really work out well for him.

Johnny Manziel's dad: Without rehab 'he won't live to see his 24th birthday'

SAN FRANCISCO -- Johnny Manziel's father said Friday that Manziel twice refused to go rehab this week and that he believes his son is suicidal.

"I truly believe if they can't get him help, he won't live to see his 24th birthday," Paul Manziel told The Dallas Morning News.

Paul Manziel said the family first tried to get Manziel, 23, to go to rehab on Saturday after an argument with his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley that resulted in Fort Worth police searching for him by helicopter. The police report states that Crowley told police Manziel struck her several times.

But Manziel refused to stay at the Enterhealth Ranch addiction facility in Van Alstyne, Paul said, adding that he then tried to have Johnny admitted Tuesday to Carrollton Springs Hospital, but Manziel was permitted to leave.

Paul Manziel was upset that Manziel -- who was not charged for the incident with Crowley -- was allowed to leave after he told a sheriff that he believed his son was suicidal. Carrollton Springs is a dual-diagnosis chemical dependency facility that specializes in treating substance abuse and/or mental illness.

Last year at this time, Manziel spent 73 days in the Caron Addiction treatment center in Pennsylvania for unspecified issues. But he's been seen out drinking frequently over the past few months and a source close to him have told cleveland.com "he's a train wreck.''

Important people in Manziel's life are parting ways as he refuses to get help.

His agent, Erik Burkhardt, who has stuck closely by his side for the past two years, ended his professional relationship Friday.

In a statement he said: "It is with deep regret that after several emotional and very personal discussions with his family, his doctors, and my client himself, I have made the decision to terminate my professional relationship with Johnny Manziel.

"Though I will remain a friend and Johnny supporter and he knows I have worked tirelessly to arrange a number of professional options for him to continue to pursue, it has become painfully obvious that his future rests solely in his own hands. His family and I have gone to great lengths to outline the steps we feel he must take to get his life in order. Accountability is the foundation of any relationship, and without it, the function of my work is counterproductive."

The Browns will waive Manziel March 9, when the new league year opens.

Coach Hue Jackson told TMZ here at the Super Bowl that Manziel "is not my concern.''

Manziel's publicist, Denise Michaels, told cleveland.com that she's sticking with him. "Sanderson Strategies Group and I are still working with Johnny and I don't expect that to change."

On Thursday, Manziel denied a report by News 8 in Dallas that he threatened to kill Crowley and himself or that he repeatedly struck her.

"It didn't happen,'' he said. "I'm completely stable. I'm safe and secure.''

Speculation is the Cowboys might sign Manziel once he clears waivers in March.
