That guy scrubbing in the first minute, I've seen BMXers do it but never a mountain bike that much. That was straight up SX.

Downhill MTB is more BMX over real crosscountry MTB racing. Would like to see those guys do a killer 2500' climb with a 40 pound+ downhill bike.

Yep that was sweet , DH mountain biking is so moto influenced these days.
The cool thing with newer bikes is you don't have to be on a XC bike to climb anymore. 6" efficient travel and 27 lbs makes for some sweet all day epics

laughing at dudes saying climbing is gay. you do realize that in order to go down you must go up... not everyone sits on a chair lift to get their thrills. DH is definitely a blast, but so is enduro type riding and all-mountain rides.

some people just have to talk shit on anything they don't prefer to do, as if you guys are downhill mtb Gods. give me a break.

that would be no different than an offroad guy saying motocross is gay or vice-versa.

If not for my addiction to MTB I would have no business being on a motocross bike at my age. I need the ups for training, the XC for endurance and the downs for the rush. Just picked up a 2016 Giant Trance Advanced 27.5 1 for $4,600 and will get more use per dollar out of it than my KTM FE. To me both sports go hand in hand.
