Took me a minute to figure out how to post the photo from a windows phone.

Looks like Unadilla

AMA has a mindset of "ah he crashed, now he is allowed to do anything". It's not only Webb but others in the past (like Villopoto skipping a whole lane, or Baggett an entire section on High Point). It's ridicilous but at least they are consistent (well in recent past then) ...
No. RC had also crashed. He got docked. It is the inconsistency of the AMA's rational when applying fines, discapline that drives the racers nuts.
Exactly

You gusy are to closed minded to realize that Webb took least dangerous rute back to the track. Doing a 180 on the landing of a jump interimg a corner is way more dangerous than riding between the tuff blocks on to the track.

^This! Happened right in front of us. He really didn't have any other option. I would love to see any of you turn around or wait at the very end of a line of whoops with fully committed riders blitzing towards you. Scary moment for sure. He made the right move!

He did it to save time instead of waiting for a "safe" time to turn around. He crashed in the middle of the corner after the whoops and rode backwards towards the whoops and cut thru the tuff blocks at the end of the whoops to get onto the lane going the opposite direction.

Exactly. When he got going again he was in 12th and entered the track in 9th or so.

The "safe" thing to do was wait it out and then continue racing by turning the bike around.

If you're referring to the crash in the heat after the whoops, he ended up 4 spots down after coming back onto the track.

Exactly. He put the right foot down and turned the bars to pivot but stopped just in a time to keep a KTM bike from T-boning him.

You think we should burn him at the stake? Make him start backwards this next race kinda like your dad's punishment for catching you smoking a cigarette is making you finish the whole pack? Think we should dock him 5 positions?

A judgement call is a judgement call. If everyone escaped unharmed, and he didn't make any meaningful advantages from the move, no penalty is needed. Your bias is showing.

He definitely cut the track and gained an advantage (much more than Anderson did on his screw up). It's all conjecture, but an even worse starting position could have made the difference in the main. Surprised nobody protested him, but maybe they did and nothing came out of it.
