Seeing how I am a licensed medical professional I think I can make a pretty qualified opinion. I may not be a doctor but I have more than enough practical experience treating pts in kidney failure to give you a lesson.

I did the gallon of water in an hour, felt like throwing up acutually forced my self to throw up five minutes after the hour, and i pee'd so bad it wasnt even funny. i woke up 8 times in the middle of the night to pee.

[color=blue]Hey 441, I grew up in Morro Bay. Moved away when I joined the military in '88, but most of my family still lives in that area & I visit at least once a year, if not more. It was a great place to grow up. The surf pretty much sucked, but the Jetty and Hazards would go off on occasion, and Rincon/Magics were only a couple hour drive. A buddy of mine has a pretty nice track in Paso Robles. Not sure what kind of shape it's in now, but I'll ask him when he's out here for the PHX SX. Dunno if you're into tracks or not, but it's a cool place. It's in the middle of a huge ranch (10,000 acres, I think?), so there's lots of different riding to do. He road races too, & he's got a newborn, so I dunno how much time he's put into the track lately. I'll hit him up & let you know...//TJ [/color]

the surf has actually been really fun at moonstone and sand spit lately. as far as riding i am out of commission on riding cause i dont have a bike any more. i am in a money crisis like every one else but i have a guarnteed pay check. i am stationed here in the coast guard. i know they had it here when you were here but i think it was all cutters and stuff back then.

Lived close to there as a kid; place called Cayucous (sp). Dont remember much about it other than the beach and the big ugly green house we lived in right next to a motel.

Many good memories hanging out @ the Pier & what-not. As part of my HS final one year, we had to run to the Pier from MBHS. About a 7 mile run over nothing but sand. Good times. We use to ride jet ski's in Morro Bay, launch them right on the beach, out of the back of our trucks, ride all morning, then rinse them off in Naciemento (sp?) in the afternoon.

TJ, the track you speak of, was it by the wash that runs through town? I remember their was a meat packing place near by and it stunk real bad, but the track was killer.

Did you ever ride on the base? Not too smart but the tanks were cool.

Lake Naciemento.I had many of good times there.The Narrows would go off every holiday weekend through the summer.Ah the good old days.

Yanno, I kinda agree with Premix. I started hydrating myself properly about 3 or 4 years ago. It actually cured stomach problems I was having (I used to take Prilosec daily), and my fingers used to crack and bleed all the time (now it's very minimal). The doctors couldn't figure either one out.

Anyways, ever since I've been hydrating properly, I get thirstier much quicker than I believe I used to. I probably drink about 3 gallons a day, if not more.

I did my cardio workout today...drank about 3/4 gallon in under an hour. The last 24 oz was just to see how it felt. Made me bloated and a little buzzy.

I am sure that a gallong would make you feel like crap. I think if you prepped for it, it might not be too bad.
