as long as you're not offended with my case of pbr on the luggage rack on my back fender lol. there are some weird ducks out there. i've ridden Mayfield and it's pretty fun too. i've been planning about a 200 mile Jericho ride for maybe around April i'll keep you in the loop. there's a fossil dig site out there i'd like to check out and then hit Delta and make a big loop back up to Cherry Creek.

200 miles? One day? That'd put some hair on the chest.

There are days when we leave before sunrise and pull in AFTER midnight.

And it's amazing.
It's on the bucket list...that's for sure. I've watched the TV special on it every year and salivate the entire time. It looks like a total blast!

That's good news! I've had mine for a while now and they've held up great...except for the Velcro. I was going to have some heavy duty Velcro patches sewn on, but other than that they still look/feel new. They DEFINITELY serve their purpose too because the braces don't move at all.

riding motocross without knee braces is pretty ignorant in my opinion, and I learned that the hard way. i got lucky the first 14 years of riding without them, but you'll be real surprised how easy an ACL tears in half when it does happen.

good luck

I've been wearing these for about 6 months, and I really like them.

I've been considering either these or the Leatt Dual Axis guards as a replacement for my Fox Titans. One of the main issues I run into with protection products is that I'm tall and thin (6'2", 165 - 170 lbs). I had to modify the Fox Titan knee guards by putting some velcro on the front so I could wrap the straps around further. Do you have any experience with the Leatts? Trying to decide which will work best for me without being able to actually try them on back to back.

We are built similarly, I'm 6'1" and about 170...I also was running the Fox Titan guards, and had similar problems as you (maybe not as drastic as I didn't need extra cel crow), I don't have that same problem with these, plus I find these way more comfortable. I really like the wise straps, they conform to my legs better (both above and below the knee), and as long as I wear the sleeve that comes with them, they don't move at all on my leg.

I have no experience with the Leatt, though...but they sure look sweet!
Thanks for the info! It's always good to hear some first hand testimonial. Either one will be an improvement over what I've got, so I don't think I can go wrong.

For what it's worth, I went from Asterisk's to Pods and it felt like I was wearing nothing! I love the Pods!

I put new pads in my Cells (the small ones that go on each side of the center-part of the knee), and tried my braces on again, with all my stuff on and worked with the fit a little.

I would have to put all my money on those Virus / Asterisk knee brace pants, because the fit still sucks. Its not terrible, but .. where I have problems / issues is: think of coming into a tight, rough & rocky corner and needing to bend the knee up and back to get a fast clean line to the inside. The fast feeling of mobility isn't there. Hard to describe, but the simple way is: it just feels restricted.

I'm not one to put my leg out in corners all of the time, but I like to be able to bend and move my leg freely when I need to.

Speaking of knee guards, has anyone tried the Alpinestar Bionic SX?
