Taking wife on movie date tomorrow. Appreciate any reviews. Thinking about seeing The Hateful Eight. The Revenant. Daddys Home. Joy. The Big Short. Or something else? Thanks.

If you are going with the wife, she will LOVE Joy, awesome flick. Hateful 8 is boring, 5 guys and a gal sit in a bar arguing then shoot eachother, i expect more from Quentin. The Revenant is pretty gnarly! Have the Big Short but not watched it yet. Havent seen Daddy Home yet either, seen about a dozen others though but im exhausted.

Do a good deed for wifey and take her to Joy, ull "get some" that night for sure Whistling

I thought hateful 8 was great but it does get a little boring. My repayment for making my girlfriend sit through it was watching sisters, and it actually was pretty entertaining.

My wife loved hatefull 8 but she likes plays, it's kind of like some sorta fucked up bloody play. 95% of the movie is fimed in the same room. Point Break had some cool footage but besides that was the dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen. Modern day extreme athlete robin hoods try to do 8 crazy stunts to show the world how lame it is, or some shit. I really wanted to like that movie but left scratching my head and saying wtf. Patric Swayze must be rolling over in his grave

I loved Hateful 8 as well. Your right OC Burnt was good, Joy was a chick flick and should get you some after the movie. The Big Short I thought was awesome and shows you how fucked our economy really is and the retards that run it. I was bored on camp so I had a few days off and binged watched a ton of them, now onto Netflix.

Did you ever see Foxcatcher w/ him? Trippy movie and his acting was simply incredible. We think of him as the funny guy, but he can do serious roles VERY well.

The Revenant is heavy, not really a date movie, but I liked it and think it demands repeat viewing. Watched the first 45 mins or so of the Hateful Eight, also found it a little boring, and it's long.

The Big Short was good and funny, I'd recommend that.

Ive been up since 6am, friggen insomnia bad....thinking of laying down and watching the Big Short.

Anyone seen the new Bond film? been on my HD but havint watched, wondering if its worth it.

All my buddies that saw Hateful Eight said don't waste your money. One said he fell asleep 3 times. He just couldn't stay awake. Smile I wouldn't have spent any money on it and would have downloaded it anyway. Smile

It gets way better in the latter parts. But it sure wasn't Tarantino at his best, I'll give you that.

Major Marquis Warren wanted to kill General Sandy Smithers right then and there, but he needed him to drew first. That's why he put that gun beside him and then he exaggerated the story so much that eventually Smithers couldn't take it anymore and you know what happened next.
Notice that in that flashback scene Warren was wearing the excact same outfit while telling it at Minnie's Haberdashery. I believe this was Tarantino's way to let the audience know that it was a made up story.

saw Hateful 8 last week and really really enjoyed it. i put it about 4-5th on my list of QT films, but i'm a huge Western movie fan so it might be closer to 2nd-3rd.

going to The Revenant next and then Star Wars. so many great movies out right now
