I heard they are ditching the hologram stickers and using a different system for pit passes starting at A1. Anyone know what's up.

Well most rounds the special pit passes are wristbands, not stickers.

On the west coast they usually use both depending on access . I think this is some kind of security issue with all the terrorism crap going on.

For Anaheim, it's been photo credentials for riders, media, and team personnel. Wrist bands for one race mechanics. Stickers for industry or family/friends of riders, etc.

It changes every couple years, so it'll be interesting to see what they'll do now.

That's how it's been for all sx's for at least like 5 years I'm pretty sure. Don't know what they could really do to change it?

The hologram stickers aren't at all rounds, I think? I remember getting wristbands instead of holograms at most rounds outside of California? Idk... ha.

I've gotten stickers east a lot so I think they pretty much run that system everywhere.

VIPs usually have a lanyard card or some crazy wristband that i only see 3 of all day, I don't know if those are different each race or what.

Almost to a1.... Thank god

stickers are for people that already have tickets and you put them on your stickers. i usually give them to my friends so they can get in the pits all day but it does not provide industry seating or tunnel access. then you have your industry seating wrist bands, then your credentials

That's where Anaheim differs. The hologram stickers are for industry seating, and wrist bands are just for weird stuff like one race mechanics and other major race team staff. I think it's because there are too many industry requests for Anaheim and it's easier to hand out stickers which allow all-hours pit access and industry seating. Wrist bands usually get you tunnel access and track walk privileges, which would be overkill at most of the Southern California rounds. There'd be so many people the track would be flat from all the walking. Laughing

the only wristbands that get you track access are mechanic bands, the industry seating ones at all the other rounds you have to walk into a different entrance and not the tunnel to get to industry seating. my credential for 2015 sx had pretty much everything including tower and floor access but they are still really strict about it. especially the old man at the track extrance that works for feld haha, the two buff guys that are security are pretty nice tho.

Our media credentials are good for everything except for floor access during race time. Then the photo vest gets you down there and everywhere, except for manager's tower.
