Nice video!

Wow it looks alot smoother then I remember when I raced there. Well that was back in the late 90's.....

Yeah it was definitely easier for me since I was walking and not riding....lol.
I think they are still getting more sand back in the track I think so it should progressively get back to the old school roughness.

I'm #63 on the Honda so I did race that day. They only did 3 lap sprints and a 7 lap Moto for us expert guys. So the track wasn't 100% rough but just based on that the track was hella gnarly at the end of the day with the roughness and the sunshine in your eyes

Best part is that it's back going in the right direction!

Yeah it's going to be great to see it back on the national schedule this year.....now THAT will be rough.

it was kinda rough, but a good rough, no square edge clay holes like it had been in recent years they did a ton of work and it was rolling sand the way it was back in the day

They really have done a great job of restoring the old "flow" to the track....even as a spectator I can see the difference.

Thanks for the kind words on the video guys....I have a little more footage to cut that I will post up.

so rad to have southwick back on the schedule. hopefully with the break in the mxgp season some of the guys make the trip over for the national like de reuver did back in the day

Crazy that back in the day was 2008! We're heading into 8 years later, almost a career and it doesn't seem like it!

Funny little side note on the Southwick national which was the closest one for us.
When it used to run in June it fell either on or around my sons birthday every year...he loved it.
