Does anyone know of anyone selling a 2012-2015 KTM 125/150sx frame? Mine has given up the ghost and I'm struggling to find a replacement. The only one I've found on Ebay is $950 bucks, which seems a bit much...

You can go through a dealer, KTM might warranty it.

The flanges/tabs on the bottom of the frame that cradle the bottom of the engine cases/hold it in place have cracked across on each side of the bolt. It's been welded, but because of the workmanship of the welder or because it just isn't really fixable, the repair hasn't held up. Each side is cracked above the actual part where the tabs meet the frame.

I haven't bothered trying to talk to KTM since I'm the second owner of the bike.

Go to a good shop have them remove the cracked tabs and weld new tabs into place that should be a lot less than buying a frame.

A competent welder can make the repair stronger than stock. This should be a relatively easy fix, compared to buying a new frame. Good luck!

If you have time post some photos...

But agreed with the others, any welder with knowledge of motorcycles or bicycles should be able to make it stronger than stock. My friends who race flat track chop their bikes into pieces....

Not quite the same but I've home built engine mounts a few times for my kids Cobra 50's when he rode them. Made it much stronger than stock........Welded a few tabs on the KTM 65's also. Not much too it..........

Are they mig or tig welding? seams that tig is best for CM and the correct rod must be used or it will result in cracking.
I was aa 1st class welder long ago and unless it is totally botched, as above a good welder should be able to repair it.
