I'll be happy to see Rossi retire, even right now, after the shit he has caused in MotoGP and creating the poisoned fan reaction which you can see everywhere.

MM doesn't have the ability to do this - what he can do, is ride faster than Rossi, a point Rossi should have considered before accusing him of cheating in PI.

Honestly, if Rossi could take it back, do you think he would? Probably not. He's loving it that MM has given him an excuse to blame his lost championship on someone else. And divided the MotoGP world into the hatred that you read about all over, even here. Only Rossi has this ability, and he's exercised it.

If he could handle stoner in laguna 08, why can't he handle MM? It's not like hard racing was annoying him then. If Rossi can't stomach the battle on-track with MM without losing his shit, the clearly it's time for him to go.

This is the Rossi I'd prefer to remember:

You think Rossi loses this championship if Marquez isn't racing like a tool?

how many points has MM cost Rossi so far?? no one said that MM was holding him up at Phillip Island, it was the greatest race for a long time until Rossi brought it up on thursday's press conference,

if MM really wanted to cost Rossi points, then why on earth would he pass Lorenzo on the last lap at Phillips ISland taking 5 points off him,

this post confuses me
first thing he's created a poisoned fan reaction? ah ok
Second thing, that was Rossi's point, Marquez was a lot faster than him at Phillip Island so why was he back battling with him? (should mention, I'm not 100% convinced he was messing with him at Phillip Island, although that was some last lap he put in)
Yeah ya prob right this is a much better outcome for Rossi.. (hint, that was sarcasm)
again there's that strange fan reaction opinion
yeah good point if he could handle battling for wins 7 years ago why can't he put up with someone fucking with him just to wreck his championship now 7 years later?
How did Rossi handle it last year, when Marquez did exactly the same move to him that he did to Stoner? He seemed to be ok with that battle.. hmm wonder why

So far? Maybe a couple at Phillip Island, a couple more at Sepang and a dickload next weekend!

Last paragragh is spot on
"I just feel like the wrong thing was done on Sunday and it started not because of Rossi or what he said in a stupid press conference, those are just words. It started because someone got his ego checked this year and doesn’t want to look at why. As brilliant as Marquez’s riding is, its time to grow up. Rossi will always be endeared and when he goes, Moto GP is in big trouble. Especially if Marquez and Lorenzo are what we all have to deal with."

Ianone caught and passed Rossi late at Philip Island,, can't see how that was MM doing, and he did not have the pace to stay with Lorenzo pedrossa last weekend, if MM had stayed up it could have been another 2 points down for Rossi,

I think that the effect of the penalty on the championship is a bit shit, but the penalty Rossi got is on the light side when compared to the others given out this year in other classes for similar moves, should you be able to take the law into your own hands? do we want a nascar like boys have at it type situation,

is MM not allowed to race Rossi? but it was fine for Iannone to do so?

Fact of the matter is there should be NO penalty for Rossi.

They fucked up and now they are going to cost Rossi a championship over MM being an idiot and JL crying like a little girl.

No, Rossi lost his championship because he decided to engage in petty battles and couldn't ride fast enough to help his own cause, decide his own fate.

The non-racing:
Rossi chose to start a war involving all the MotoGP fans...(lol 20 pages here now)...if it was such an obvious thing at PI, but nobody said anything about it until the Doctor himself declared it? well it must be true then.

In general, declaring someone a cheat is a pretty serious allegation. If he didn't expect payback for what happened by MM, then he was kidding himself. Poorly thought out and very unlike Rossi.

In any worthless battle, just like a street fight, it will escalate to the point of an illegal action...and Rossi got there first. Rossi decided to fight the worthless battle instead.

The racing he had in the last three rounds:
Rossi lost the fight with Pedrosa in Aragon...in a way, not unlike the battle in Sepang.
Rossi had the last lap to stay in front of Iannone at PI. Couldn't do it.
Rossi had the opportunity to keep Lorenzo behind him at Sepang...couldn't do it. Maybe he was waiting for his front tire to come in, lol.

Like I said, this is not the Rossi I will choose to remember.

Jspazz, you mean the Rossi with a seven point lead going into the last round?

That's before the BS penalty virtually handing the competition HIS championship...for a racing move we have all done. Taking someone's line away in a race IS how most passing his done. Vital guys understand this, hence the outrage and conspiracy theories.

If you don't want to remember "This Rossi" nothing can help you..

its not 'hisl championship, he has to win it, he would have 11-15 point lead more with out the passes listed by Jspazz above, and it could have easily been 4 points if MM had stayed on,

please show me where a move like Rossi did at Sapang, has gone unpunished with penalty points in and of the GP classes in the last few years?

comparing Moto GP to motocross or supercross is not a fair comparison, as the speeds are much slower, and the corners much tighter,

You talk like Rossi is doing bad this year? You look at things in a very one sided manner.

By your reasoning someone like Dungey is not very good since he isn't always the fastest at a single race. There's a difference between race winners and champions. Dungey and Rossi are both multitime champions. This year, Rossi was in a title hunt, Marquez wasn't, so who has been the better racer? Hint, initials are VR.

watched Phillip Island, and half of Sepang, thought Phillip island was the best race i can remember in a long time, thought MM last lap was pretty amazing, and thought he did Rossi a huge favour taking 5 points off Lorenzo at the time,

did you think MM was messing with Rossi at Phillip island at the time?, or not until Rossi brought it up the next week?

only normally watch highlights of the european rounds due to time differences,

I agree that was great riding by MM and I assume he was riding full-on and not messing with anyone. I agree with pridmore tho, as far as the press stuff just being words.
Some people say Rossi took matter into his own hands but you could say the same for Marquez if words got to him.

If you read my post as to what I don't like about what Rossi has done, your comparison to Dungey is probably the worst ever one you could make. Couldn't get more opposite at this stage. Dungey is a class act.

Besides, Vale and Dunge being multi-time champions and the comparison to Marquez...ummm...??

Well then those guys got gypped.
So, what is it now, from a guy that has followed this since before King Kenny showed them how it's done,
You can't run a guy wide anymore?
Quote the rule. I wanna see it.
There was at least 2meters of Tarmac to the edge if the grass.
Rossi was in front.
It's up to the guy behind to back off, and the tape shows he didn't.
Tell me, next year, last lap nobody goes wide to protect a line to win?

I say forget it, let them run like nothing happened, let the riders decide it.

Dive inside the turn 13 exit to throw away turn 14, before the long straight. Go wide, 20' past the apex, slow down in front of the other rider, and look over 3 times to show you aren't racing at this point.

Roberts never did this.

And obviously this isn't allowed, for the same reason Vale was allowed to keep the Assen win. If Vale had crashed trying to make the chicane after Marquez dive bombed him, you can be sure Marquez would have been penalized.

Marquez is a multi time champion as well but my point was that Rossi has been in the title chase for another championship this season, Marquez did not. Marquez crashed out too much to be a title threat (this year specifically).

if Rossi thought MM was messing with him he could have backed off and followed him around, (just like Lorenzo did when Rossi was aggressively passing him back in Japan in 2012), he didn't, he took the law into his own hands, and in most sports, you get punished for doing that,

if MM may have broken the unwritten law of not messing with the championship, Rossi did the same thing in 2012 to his own team mate,
