James did perfect the scrub in MX no doubt , but " invented it "? It has been going on in BMX for the past 40yrs. Guys in MX have done it for years as well , but not to the extent that James brought it too. I would say he pioneered it into this sport , to the fact that it is a full on scrub and he deserves every bit of credit for that. Nobody was doing it like James when he first started doing it.

And what I mean about people doing it years ago in MX , listen to what Rick Johnson said yesterday " Look at old pics of JoJo Keller ". MC was really good at keeping the bike low as well , but just not to the extent that James brought it too. And again , he deserves the credit for taking it to the next level.

All in all , I don't really care. I'm just happy as hell to see him back out there.

I just wish it was still 250 2strokes only. Stew would be showing everyone what momentum is all about for years and years now.....

I think it was an old pic (singular) that he was referring too.

That pic of Jo Jo Keller is the only picture (and no videos) of anyone scrubbing I have seen before JS. And was the picture above something he did all the time or was the jump on a corner or set up to throw him this way.

If anyone has any more early pics of srubs I would love to see them. No offense against RJ but I think he was looking for some street cred.....

Don't let off right before entering them, Stewart doesn't. If your afraid, build a set of whoops that are smaller and practice entering full speed until comfortable. Then slowly start to build them up and repeat. Your ego won't take such a beating next year. Disclaimer: when whoops get rough, do not copy Stewart's crash technique after said whoop enter speed.

Please please please Go Pro document this when you do it, make it a series you have to purchase because I would pay to watch this incredible simple tactic you have developed. Call It Whoops Stewart Style Made Simple or something.

Maybe write a book too, Whoops for Dummies.

I recall Langston saying it, but I think it was mentioned a couple years prior to that...possibly by Emig, although I can envision RC saying it...

That's easy , I'm sure they all picked up Endo-nesia from Ralph!

Looks like a old school "cross up" to me. That's what passed for style back in the day of 300 lb. bikes with drum brakes and 4 inches of suspension travel. Grinning
