Just playing devils advocate here and not really arguing for gun control.
"A 'good' toddler with a gun could have prevented this."
and
"Guns don't kill people, 2yr-old toddlers kill people - it's a mental health issue! And somehow - I'm not sure how - Obama will use this to bring tyranny to the USA."
No doubt if I read enough of the comments, either Newman or Str#8shooter would have been there demanding that the kid be made an example of the deter any other toddler from copying.
So why don't they ever focus on that? No, they focus on a few mentally ill wackos instead of ongoing problems of gang violence. The governments biggest fear is a nation of armed citizens that will no acquiesce to the government takeover of our rights. If you were in a boat with 2 holes leaking water, would you focus on the hole that dribbles water in or the one that lets pour water in?

I would actually think that the party responsible for putting a loaded weapon within reach of a 2 year old should be made an example of. Besides, how does a 2 year old who is properly strapped into a infant seat reach into the seat back pocket of the seat in front of him and retrieve a gun? Lots of irresponsibility and fail that went into that story, but you anti gunner guys go right ahead and ignore all of that personal responsibility stuff and let Hillary save you.
Actually we're both sort of on the same page, you wanting people to take responsibility and me saying only responsible (and sane) people should be able to own them.
Either way it's a moot point, there are so many out there now, there's no way of putting the genie back in the bottle. I'm just glad it's your problem, not ours.
