how awesome was the Pro Circuit 125 that you were featured riding in MXA July 2010 issue?
Which size two stroke do you think would be fair to race in the 250F class (example: 144 / 151 / 167 / 250cc)?
Thanks for answering our questions & hope you get back to 100% good health soon
Is there a restaurant or destination in each stop of the sx series that you like to hit each time you go through that city? Any favorites?
As far as the RV crap talking. That was never a problem. Ryan is like that with his friends and we all get a kick out of it. We were all friends and it was never taken personal. Just buddies sitting around talking smack.

if i recall correctly i believe they basically sold or remortgaged the farm to keep up with the massive bills that come along with being a top prospect on the amateur scene.
i can't really understand what that would feel like at 15 or 16 years old.
------
Has amateur racing gotten a bit too crazy at it's current level? For most of us this sport started in the backyard on some 2 stroke with a ton of hours and minimal investment- now i see the RVs, the multiple bikes and mods- it just seems SO steep for your average blue collar family to keep up with.
I always wondered about the maintenance you do on your bikes now with not being on a Factory Team? Do you practice on a complete stock bike and how many hours are you getting out of a motor before you rebuild? What other wear and tear parts are you replacing often. A rider at your level , I am sure is hard on a bike compared to us weekend warriors.
-----------------------
Are you more upset you can't ride because of injury, or do you get upset over riding causing more injury? I think a common thought from all riders of every skill level is more along the lines of "more upset about not being able to ride due to injury." Would you agree with that ? Why or why not.
-----
Practicing is difficult, most can agree, many racers find it hard to capture race-like intensity when practicing. What do you do in practice that helps your program the best?
----
You don't have to answer all, I just wanted to rattle some things I always ponder about pros. Thanks the responses, stay positive I think this is your year for everything to fall into place!
Can you take over the Pulp MX Show? Maybe Steve can be a once a month Co-Host for you.
Very simple question
Anyways, thanks for doing this and glad you are back (almost).
Oh, yeah, one more question............being an Idaho boy and me in Montana, did you ever race in Montana and if so do you remember where? Just more curiosity than anything else.
1. You are about to be a dad (congrats). If it's a boy, what do you say when he comes to you and wants to pursue MX. Do you just encourage the kid to enjoy riding and take it as it comes or do you go full Deegan?
2. Who started typing your responses and whos doing it now? haha
AWESOME that you are doing this, love hearing you (and Nicole) as a cohost on the Pulp show!! I witnessed the Detroit incident in person, within 50 yards. VERY hard to watch and so glad that you are doing ok, improving daily and back on the bike!!!
When you retire, do you see yourself "pulling an RV" and disapearing? Or will you somehow stay involved in the sport? Huge fan so I hope you don't disapear! Although I can't say I'd blame you, Idaho looks like a beautiful state!
Congrats to you and Nicole and becoming parents. I won't lie, its a ton of work but so worth it! Good luck in 2016 and beyond! :-)
What's your dirtiest story you can tell with out any ramifications ??? We all love them here...
Ps I don't mean muddiest either! You can substitute names...
I don't know what I will do after I retire but I can tell you I love the sport and regardless if I am directly involved with the sport or not I am sure you will see me at some races.
Thanks for the question.
2. I have typed from the beginning and am typing now sitting in front of the tv watching the football game.
Yes I raced in Montana once in Bozeman. It was like an indoor arena cross type deal. it was freezing, good time though. 2004 I believe.
Pit Row
The frustration with injury is that I am not able to ride and do what I love.. Race.
I try and simulate "racing scenarios" with short sprint laps and even trying to do motos with someone similar pace but you can't really ever fully compare practicing to racing.
Thanks for coming on here and answering some questions for all of us! I worked for a 450 rider during SX and got to know Travis and Doug pretty well. Seems like you have some good people around you. During the week in between Atlanta's, Travis was working 9-5 it seemed on your bike. His attention to detail blew my mind!
Like yourself, I am an avid fly fisherman. Trout, bass, musky, Pike, pretty much anything, all on the fly rod. What kind of gear do you use? Favorite fishing spot? Any good fishing stories?
Load your rod and reel up and bring it to Milville next year. Some of the best trout fishing you can imagine is only an hour from there.
Cheers,
Jon
First of all, congrats on your upcoming addition to your family! My question is a little off the topic of the rest I guess but how often do you get to come back to the great state of Idaho and ride or hunt or just get time to be a normal dude and get away from all the California craziness? I remember you coming out to Kimberly and Glenns Ferry back when you rode for Geico Honda and at OMC when your rode for Pro Circuit, good times!! Anyway, good luck this season!
and screen shot... After you retire you can work for Vital
Good luck next year...
What is your favorite obstacle to do on a track?
Where do you think you make up the most time on others ahead of you?
What gives you the pucker factor the most?
Do you find as a successful Pro level rider most jumps are easy or do you have to still have to psych up to do something big for the first time?
Anything you'd like to see changed or tried on a national or supercross track?
Would you ever consider going GNCC racing?
Thanks again and best of luck.
Is that bike still rideable? Is there any trick/factory parts left on it?
You've now (unfortunately) had to come back from injuries a few times.
How have you gotten back up to pace each time. Do you feel it has affected your speed? More so than any injuries you had as a kid?
And apart from luck, what do you think may have helped with any of your injuries?
And, yes, keep showing up @ Pulp.
