Looks like Charlie is working with Aldon for the next couple of weeks to get his endurance back up after his injuries. Could he beat KR557 next year?

Charlie is doing a six week boot camp with Aldon. Also, I wouldn't be surpised if KTM is paying for this, as they've tried to set up a deal with Aldon before to train their riders.

I thought he was working with Aldon. I saw on Strava he was using some of Aldon's loops.

From what I've heard, his in laws are loaded, I don't think he worries about money.

Father-in-law is John Ayers.. Who, to my understanding, is the owner of MotoTees.

For anyone wondering, MotoTees makes the event shirts for the outdoor nationals, GNCC's, Lorettas among many other.

Charlie Mullins F-I-L owns the rights to the event shirts and its profit, while Kailub Russells dad designs/builds/lays out each race course.. And happens to be married into the Coombs family.

Such a small world right?

Actually, these days Barry Hawk handles the trail layout for each GNCC. Jeff Russell is still the trail boss but mostly focuses on start, finish and pit layout on top of managing multiple aspects of the events, while Barry handles laying out the rest of the course.

If anyone can keep up to russell it's mullins. It's going to be a hard task for him because russell is so unreal. He may not beat russell for the championship but his return will certainly make it more interesting.

There are a few guys who keep Russell honest week in week out. Thad Duvall, Ryan Sipes, and the guy who beat Kailub Russell straight up...Chris Bach. Mullins though...I think @kr557 isn't looking forward to him coming back....

I disagree. Bach beat him once this year, wasn't even close the rest of the season. Kaliubs results should show he wasn't challenged too much. I think with how much Sipes improved this year he may be able to get a few wins next year. Thad simply isn't consistent at all. He DNF's too many races whether it be bike failure or crashing. Yes, KR probably isn't looking forward to CM returning, but CM has been off with injuries a lot the past few years so who knows how much it'll affect him.

I think the time off affects Mullins less than people think. As for Russell, it's not like he's led every lap, or is finishing 10 minutes ahead of 2nd. Duvall has been somewhat inconsistent, yes, but he does have the talent to win on any given day. Sipes' improvement is nothing short of amazing, and I expect a win from him any time. It'll certainly be interesting to see how 2016 shakes out
