It looked like a bomb. Go look at the pictures. Sure it was a misunderstanding (I use that loosely because it sounds like this was all staged by the kid and his Dad). Look at the pictures and you tell me that thing didn't look like a crudely made bomb. Total BS for sure.

Good thing we weren't scared of stuff when I was in school. All the kids had pocket knifes, ag kids had guns in their truck window gun racks and I took one of these to school on more than one occasion in elementary school.

This would not be an issue if bombs were legal. Bombs should be legal, otherwise only the bad guys will have bombs. The ones defending this kid and ragging on the teacher for being overactive will be the first ones to bitch and cry about how enough isn't done to protect the schools when a mass shooting happens.

You can't have it both fucking ways.

His so called "clock" looked sketchy as all get out. So when someone decides to hookup their "clock" to a stick of TNT and blow up a whole classroom, what then? Bag checks for every child every single school day? Metal detectors in elementary schools? Some schools already make ALL kids use clear plastic backpacks.

It's not about fear mongering. It's about using common sense. It looked sketchy so a teacher brought it to someones attention. Now everyone is bashing her and acting like we should all look the other way when when a kid is just being a kid.
