Pay them? Why, they'll race for free?

Race for free? I thought they had to pay an outrageous sum for the right to race, no?

Logistically it would be easier for US based teams to race the GP in Mexico, though probably makes little financial/sponsor marketing sense for them to go there.

its the end of the season , the smaller teams are not going to spend the money even with MXGP helping with shipping etc still a huge expense for not a lot of gain

I was looking at a mid eighties Carlsbad USGP , recently.

There were only 11 GP riders in attendance.

Low turn outs in GPs overseas, mid to late season, have been the norm, for many, many years. And especially with regards to the US. Hell, US riders (not to mention spectators) wouldn't even go to the 10 and 11 GPs, held in the 'heartland' of US MX. This year, looks like it should be much, much better.

Luongo doesn't give a bugger about it - he wants only a few riders out there, just like Moto GP. All he / so many are interested in is Money / TV. And, as they show buggerall of riders past the first few, why have many out there in the first place (Luongos seeming obvious thinking) - hell, look to the lack of coverage of 'lower down the field' riders in SX, for an example of that.

But, you'd think that prick Luongo might just catch onto how bad it looks / how much ridicule 'His' series comes under, when this happens. Take some of those megabucks he gets from the Sheiks in Qatar, and give real travel funding to the riders and the teams. No, it needs to remain in his pockets, so he can continue to "improve his sport".I wouldn't piss on him, if he was on fire.

They should just kill the Mexican round. Why go to all the trouble for such a low turnout.

People bitch about low rider turnout and Motogp is way more fun to watch "in my opinion", then any other form of
motorcycle racing "On Tv"...

I used to think road racing was like watching grass grow... Moto3 can't be beat for passing, even by nascar...

I would rather see 20 to 25 riders out there in motocross at the national level... The back 20 are racing at the
poverty level by no fault of their own...

Maybe a support class for the rest...

I'm sick of this... "it's got to be formatted for live tv bs"... When the second 250 moto is on at 11:30 PM EASTERN?...
How is that live tv?

I got a new trucking job, I work 6 days, off 2... How am I supposed to record this when it's all over the place on tv?

Guyb is right, some of us should find another hobby...

Just shocking. Anyone with half a brain can see that having a GP in Mexico with 1 race to go in the season would be a disaster. Oh well. Next weeks GP should be really good and the MXdN will be fantastic
