I like the name but honestly, the guy is the fastest guy this year. Calling him the diesel doesnt accurately reflecy his performance. Hes just so damn smooth, thats all!

I guess you're not up to date with modern Diesel's then. "They go like shit off a shovel".

The way that KTM hooks up you, could say he's riding one.

Weege tried coining that monicker regarding how steady and consistent he is... Dungey doesnt like it and he has openly stated he doesnt so i think out of respect weege should stop forcing the issue.

While he is at it he should stop forcing the "moto 411" dude it isnt 1992 anymore and it makes him sound like a dork and not relevant to the demographic they are trying to capture.... Just my observation!

How times change Wink .

Nothing wrong with being called consistent, that's what wins championships. More than anything else. It takes consistency to make a legend.

Yeah, but speed only played one part in that. Especially on a track like that. That was pure "Race craft".

If i'm not mistaken, Langston came up with a great new nickname on today's broadcast..."the bar"...Dungey has raised the bar, and he IS the bar.

Doubt RD#5 has ever even sat at "the bar" in his life. The bar is where you get pissed and pick up fluff. A place where, if the bar's been raised, that's because a you got lucky (Think about it).

On the track, "When the gate drops, the BS stops". Quite the opposite at the bar. In which case. The more BS the better. "If the BS stops, less likely any panties will drop".

Why can't we have diesel MX bikes?

Sure there are diesels that are pretty fast. But they are not 911 turbo, mclaren, ferrari or whatever fast.

Why can't we have diesel MX bikes?
Because a diesel without a turbo is a slow, heavy, turd.... and I think there is something about forced induction not being allowed....

Snufulufagus weigant has tried coining many monikers. Blake Baggot hated his cupricabra crap and Dungey hates the diesel crap. I agree Snufulufagus weigant comes across as a dork. His ramblings are so meaningless he could say anything any nobody would notice. That is why he can make a joke out of the broadcast and the sport each week working meaningless words into his meaningless bullshit. I hope MXsports replace both snufulufugus and langston next year with professional sports announcers.

The old stereotype of diesels being slow and boggy is not applicable anymore. There are plenty of street legal 4X4 turbo diesel trucks out there that will smoke (literally) the cars you mention, even with a 450f loaded in the bed. Diesel power is very underrated. I have an old 2001 that is fairly mild (runs high 12's) with 250K miles and you can drive it like you stole it. Not to mentioned 4X4 with 35" tires, gets 18mpg and can tow the Queen Mary all day long.

These trucks are everywhere nowadays:

I know you diesels can be fast. But they are not as fast as petrolcars. Thats a fact, and thats my point. And 11.4 in the quarter mile is fast, especially for a truck. But a 911 turbo S does low to mid 10s. And thats not even tuned. Completely stock. Stupid comparing trucks with sportscars. Typical american racing trucks lol
