They had blue one's for the 86 KX's,and blue side panels too. Had the blue shroud on my 86 KX 80,till I got a bit of help from
DMC.

Nice find MXM! I don't think they were team issue, because I purchased one back in the day for my '87 KX-125. As you can see by my picture that they were blue for that year. So, since you have that bitchin rare piece, it looks like you should go ahead and find a '88-'89 to restore and add to your collection!

Opps! My bad...you should be able to see it now. Yes, it did have the word "TUF" cut out just like yours along with the wording "Tuf Works Replica" below Kawasaki on the decal. Was pretty cool stuff for back then!

Hi:

Was drooling over that shroud.

I grew up racing in District 17 (Northern Illinois) where Tuf is located and have a 1989 Tuf Racing KX 125.

It has Tuf porting, Tuf pipe and Tuf modified suspension. It also has a grey Tuf shroud that is trashed.

If you don't have a use for that one, I sure could put it to good use.

Thanks

Unfortunately I do not, sad to say that shroud is long gone along with that bike. If I would have only known that all of that trick stuff back then would eventually be vintage......

Don't tease us.....let us see some pics of that '89 Tuf KX125!!

I grew up racing in District 15 (Indiana) right next to you....and always liked the looks of the Tuf Racing Kawasaki's.

It might be a little hard to see....but I also wore the limited addition AXO lime green boots, pants (with the "Tuf" logo on the back of the leg) and jerseys (not wearing it in this pic) that you could only get of course through them. Great stuff back then.....so wish I would have kept all of that gear!

There was a Kx for sale in NJ over the summer had orange the plastics. You see a shroud or side panel pop up on ebay every so often.

hey mxracer106 do you have any other photos of that bike? and can you give me any detail about TUF Racing bikes or teams? I got an 87 KX 125 with a TUF seat and blue shroud. it does not have TUF carved into it, but the tank has a decal that says Kawasaki and under that, Tuf Works Replica. I am just wondering about the bike and tuf racing team. How many riders on the team per year?

I am about to start a restoration on it, first step was trying to power wash off all the spray paint.

Nice bike & gear! I coveted those green AXO boots when they came out.

Dear all,

I am currently re-reading old Motocross action magazines and here is what I found concerning Tuf team:
