I predict Barcia will show us the drain plug at least 15 times off the sky shot.

Like always this year, 6 riders in the 2 classes will have a shot at the Overall... You all know who they are...
Would Love to see any rider prove me wrong...

I think barcia takes it with 1-1. Homestate race, loves dilla. Obviously was a little off last year there but was the only one to keep RV in sight the year before and RV was riding warpspeed.

I'm going with a dark horse pick.....I think whoever crosses the finish line first will be the winner.

What i will say , is that if Simpson goes 1-1 , Vital will implode.

Looking at last year , anything under 1.20 off the win was good enough for 5-5. I dont see him being that far off , just depends how many guys run the pace.. first 4 were same speed , next fastest was 5 seconds a lap off.

Could easily podium if he gels with the track and bike, but just as easy not.. he doesnt have a world championship at stake, so he might hang it out, he did to keep his British Championship streak alive the other day.

Pourcel , Dungey , Barcia , Simpson , Roczen .... top 5 in any order ....

I take simpsons pick back. I'm thinking he finishes around 9th. I went back through and looked at his results from the rest of the year. He had a fantastic ride in Lommel, but hasn't finished inside the top 5 the rest of the year that I could see. His best moto was 5th, and was typically between 6th and 15th. Unadilla is not a sand track at all. Shawn is known to be a hell of a sand rider so he was kind of expected to do well this past weekend. He's a hell of a rider and I hope he lands a factory ride but I think this one result shouldn't raise his expectations for unadilla quite this much.

Shaun was 3rd in a moto at probably the hardest, slickest track on the calendar a few weeks ago in Sweden, he's no one-trick pony. Sand is his strong suit definitely, but he's no slouch on any type of terrain.

Absolutely he's no slouch. (I just quickly skimmed the results, so I figured I may have missed a moto or 2.) But I'm just saying his result this past week shouldn't raise his expectations as high as they are. Either way, people are going to make this into a MXGP vs. AMA thing like they always do which is dumb. If Shawn goes and takes about 15th were going to have the AMA guys bragging about how this past weeks winner can't even place top 10 in our series. And if Shawn lands on the podium we're going to have the GP guys saying how Shawn typically takes 6th to 15th and he comes here and podiums. I hope Shawn does well as I know the top riders from both sides are phenomenal and deserve a ton of respect. I just don't see him taking a top 5 with all the top guys having raced unadilla multiple times and having the experience.

I predict the dozers and tillers will continue to churn the dirt making this another cookie-cutter rut fest. Maybe another man made jump added or a new, boring, ON-camber turn.

Why are all the tracks becoming exactly the same? The old Unadilla was the greatest track on the planet with the greatest dirt that no tiller ever touched. The new Unadilla fits the mold of all the other tracks more and more every year.

If it gets a lot of water like say Washougal did - Shaun will make the podium. He's really solid when it gets really gnarly. Really going to depend on how he get's on with "short" everything except the motos one-day-format.
