As a personal coach, yes. Everts will be team manager. Smets could stay personal coach of Strijbos I guess.

Great thread. Mind blown about Everts leaving KTM.

Strijbos confirmed with Suzuki for 2 years. First time I read about the numbers in these contracts, apparently 450 000€ per year, plus business class flights.

Business class for international travel....NICE!

Jeff Ward back in the day had first class (domestic) flights written into his Kawi contracts.

The partnership between Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MXGP and Claudio De Carli is being extended for a further four years.

I think this means Cairoli keeps racing with KTM until the end of his career. He becomes 30 in September.

According to Beirer there will be 5 riders under KTM : Herlings,Jonass,Pootjes,Cairoli and ?? maybe Coldenhoff?? Pit said he is talking to 259.... there is a small chance that Searle can stay if he get's some good results in the last few rounds. At this point the situation doesn't look good for 100 and 9 at KTM...
Searle : perhaps Suzuki or DRT(Dixon Kawi)

ktm said they will only pick up new riders if they see something very special about them not just to fill up a spot due to there increase efforts the past years. they just spend to much on riders at the moment. i don't see searle at ktm for 2016 and he may not even be replaced.
as i said before searle could be lucky to get that spot at suzuki.

How much of this is linked to Herlings injury last year?? Is this also the start of realisation that KTM & Husky factory teams take a lot of resources.

To me it seams every year KTM has side stepped Everts into a new title (role) which indicates the door is near and opened.
Maybe the money their paying Everts could be used to buy the next rider as I'm sure Everts input is not worth the big $ there probably paying him

Ever since Everts entered the MX2 KTM-tent, they reeled in titles every year. Sounds to me the money they're paying/payed him, was worth it. After Herlingsgate last year they "demoted" him to the KTM youth programme, and bam, his three riders in the 125cc-class are all in the top 6 in standings, two of them (Natzke and Prado) still in the running for the title, the third one (Mewse) can end in fourth place. Not that bad statistics if you ask me.

I wonder if Everts leaves to Suzuki, KTM will let go his son Liam aswell or not. Big talent that kid.

I thought I read somewhere that Sylvain has been looking for somebody to buy the team from him.

Searle thinks hes too good for the british championship- he's really gone down in my estimations this year, seems to come across as nothing but a spoilt little brat. His comments about simpson recently have made him look like a right tit

ok,maybe not the best turn of phrase- he's made himself look like a whiny little bitch then (that better?)

shauns smoked him since the comments, as he has been doing all season - which makes it comical really. Expect more of the same this weekend (shaun smoking him on a privateer team/ bike, tommy giving up when hes not at the front on his factory bike)

I'm a fan of Shaun but Tommy has done enough in the passed to prove he is a better rider than Shaun. He's had a tough time with injuries and what he said about Simpson, at the time was all fact & he was right about GB announcing the team too early.

Searle need to realise that being fast between crashes isnt enough , and putting a season together is what matters now... being fast and jumping off is what you do in MX2 , MX1 riders need to be over that.

Is he fast.. certainly , has he always performed at the Nations, pretty much, but this year he hasnt made enough of a statement to back up what he is saying.

Still needs to be on the MXoN team , but i dont see him at Factory KTM next year.

he's not at factory ktm next year- they've got cairoli, and coldenhoff instead haven't they? and shaun on a factory supported own program

tommy has done nothing since he went in mx1, its not his first season in the class.

Regarding the nations team, what if Wilson puts some good results in before September and tommy doesn't? surely if that happens, then we should have anstie, simpson and Wilson?! i'd have my reservations about anstie aswel to be honest, with his inconsistency and regular bike problems, but being a gp winner this season he would be hard to leave out. Shaun is a consistent top 6 and podium contender (has been all year) so the 3rd spot is between tommy and dean surely?

I agree with him that the selection was too early, but the comments about simpson not deserving the mx1 spot, and him being faster was really childish, and incorrect this season!

he has generally performed well at the nations in the past, you cant take that away from him! but after such a poor season, with no results to speak of (even when not injured) then unless he steps his game up drastically, it wouldnt be beyond the realms of possibility for him to not even be selected?

I think its good that we are considering a GB team that Searle might not be in , but i think Wilson is too much of a risk , unless he is absolutely stellar in the few races before, but it might be too late.

And Anstie , well he is a daisy rider, and throw in the DRT Kawasaki being as fragile as a glass hammer , its a big risk, i'd rather put Tommy on the MX2 bike again , Him and Deano were stellar in Kegums , Simpson was a bit off the pace in Moto 1, but was well up there when the chain went,

Gutting day , we drowned ourselves in Riga , long night.

Ok when? When tommy has been on a factory bike and Shaun not. I know bike aint everything but at this level it helps A LOT, think the only way to compare them will be next year if roles are reversed.

If Tommy is let go as expected and with Shaun get factory support you have got to hand it to KTM from a business point of view. I also know that crashes happen and can happen at any time and to any rider but if one is regularly crashing and then spending time on the sidelines its a waste of cash.

For next year I hope that this gives Tommy a kick up the back side and he gets back to the speed/ consistency when he was racing Rattray & Herlings in MX2 as he has done nothing since moving to MX1. ALL IMO of course
7/31/2015 12:19pm
I've always been a Searle fan, when he was in mx2 he was very consistent and would have won a title had he not gone to USA to put in some good races against the likes of RD, ET, JB,TC and Pourcel on a questionable bike at the time ,and still getting podiums.
But since he's been in Mx1 it just ain't happening, he could do with taking a leaf out of Shaun's book and race every weekend to perhaps stop him making little mistakes IMO.

I see a big change in domination if Everts and Guilod works together next year. I think Everts has played a big part in Herlings succes. and it seems that after everts are not working with JH any more, jeffrey lacks confident and stability. Just how I see it of cause. Guilod will be dangerous next year if he is with Everts..
