GP of Lommel Bench Racing Discussion: The Motos

Title yes, Tim I expect is the man, Guillod is close but I think there's. Been an element of luck there to get him even in points, I really can't see Tixier getting it, he has less chance than Max IMO as he's just not fast enough, he's consistent top 3-6 but not a contender.

Here's how I see it

There's quite a bit of sand coming, max could go on a tear and if the top lads get random 6-7 a couple of races on the bounce the gap will be removed. I doubt it will happen but I can cross my fingers because he is English

Results are so inconsistent in the class right now so anything is possible, Tim has to be favourite for title though.

Jonass and even Seewer could be in the mix this weekend perhaps?

Sure you can! The next three rounds (Lommel = deep sand, Mantova = sandy, Assen = probably sandy) I expect the most from Jonass and Tixier, as Gajser and Guillod have proved not to be the best sandriders. Mexico and Glen Helen are something completely different. On those tracks I believe Gajser and Guillod will turn it up a notch again.

It's all going to be decided in the very last moto of the year.

I'm struggling to see Jordi get better than 5th, maybe it's just me being daft. Sand always gives different results so....

It's going to be a great end to the season that's for sure! I've not seen the Mexico track yet it's a new one yes?

Also, what is this el-molar track in Spain after glen Helen? It's not on the calendar but is on the track lists... Maybe next year?

That's pretty realistic I guess.
Too bad anstie crashed out, otherwise he would be in this fight as well with all the sand tracks coming up.

its a dump LOL .. the place has no redeeming features at all . In the middle of an industrial estate on the outskirts of a town, not a classic venue in the Namur , Unadilla , Farleigh, Glen Helen mould , but by god its a track that is brutal.

If its been as dry there this week as it was in Germany for the last 2 , it will get deep real quick.

Think the boy has already left .. guess I will be keeping up with it over text and FB ..

I agree, allthought it looks like i won't be able to go this year it's been a pleasure going there the past years (and mxon !!!) I love that there is a free bus going between entrance gate and parking section lol.

Last year i was standing near the big jump where Paulin quaded into the sand rollers .. people where going nuts that was awesome.

That was a proper huck!, him and Simpson pretty much the only crazy fools doing it lap by lap.

It's not often you see a huge jump worth huge gains but that one really showed a difference, visually and not just on the clock

You're late Scottie, that's old news bro Wink

Anyway it's still RV, so it's cool, be better if his ass was on track but hey, so this is the start of his future ambassador role then, good luck to him.

That sucks man.

Max is looking pretty good, track was still pretty fast in the first MX2 practice, I think as the track gets tougher he'll come into his own. Simpson and Watson were both really impressive and looking very comfortable. Could be a good weekend for the Brits

Such a smooth 1 line track Smile

I hope GP gets the win, it is hard not to be a fan when you see him launch such jumps !

In MX2, Anstie for a double victory, and I hope Tixier starts to make a run at the championship too.
