Yes zero...same as yours same as mine...JMB's was lame in the way he said it ,he has zero knowledge of the extent of RV's injuries or how he thinks so his opinion means nothing...it was just classless...
But you are a pro of twisting things that people say to support what you feel...you sure you're not a journalist??

RV quit on his terms period...if you don't like the way he did it...tough shit...nobody cares.
I think there is some truth to what Bayle and Cairoli are saying. I don't think Ryan Villopoto did leave on his own terms; no champion wants to crash and then retire while injured, and one has to ask how fair it was to the team that he signed with if Ryan never wanted to be there to begin with.

But it's as SuperDave19 mentioned, How he 'went out' vs what he's accomplished are two very different things so the debate is too emotional at this point for there to be any resolve.

Yawn, still can't see past national pride? GP's vs AMA is an irrelevance to us, incase you hadn't noticed we haven't been at the front for some time

Ok you are missing one very important point...RV did not "sign" with the team it was a negotiated agreement between many parties (multiple divisions of Kawi and Monster). They knew what they were getting and for how long...
No he didn't leave on his terms, his terms were to drop the mic after the 14 SX season...

Did you read the post I was responding to in the first instance? Decide who laid the bait.

Anyway back on subject....RV rode like a champ, went out like a chump

Yes, Ryan negotiated the last year of his contract. I stand corrected, but the point remains the same: How fair was it to his team if he really did not want to be there? I think KRT had certain expectations that may or may not have been met.

What's that old saying, don't shit where you eat

RV just took a big shit on the entire MX community this season.

His actions say what he thinks of the MX scene IMO. He took the money and ran. Did he earn it? Debatable.

He can ride a dirt bike, no doubt, and he has the numbers to back it up, but is he a class act?

So far it seems Ping is the only US industry guy with the balls to call it like he sees it.

Kawasaki brand ambassador, let me know how that works out. Kawi would be better hiring me and my clapped out KX-500. Sean Collier, hire that guy Kawi.

The mudslinging has come from both sides of the pond and it's too bad because there are valid points that are getting missed. I'll take the view that RV was one of the best but that his exit strategy was lacking some of the finer details. More than anything I think a lot of people expected more from Villopoto than what they got so there does seem to be a sentiment of disappointment.

Of course, it should in no way be a reflection of his career as a whole and I wish the best for him and his wife. If his mind and energies are not into racing any longer, then it was the best choice for him to move on with his life.

My opinion (that doesn't mean shit) is that RV is a straight shooter. He devoted his early life to moto and got burnt out.. he's a normal guy, I can dig it.

He negotiated a last year deal to ride the GP's and seemed to get a bit of the fire re' ignited. (anyone that's seen him ride knows he has a fire).

He crashed and got hurt bad... tried to see if he could come back and realized he can't. Gave up and dropped the retirement. Who can blame him? Fuck, if I couldn't do my job due to injury and could afford to retire would I??

Oh hell yeah... RV is a badass rider and and a real dude that wants a normal life.. the fucking fags that whine about him everyday on Vital? Well, not so much in my opinion

i honestly think RV owes nothing to anyone . if he want to retire ,he has every right to . i do understand what AC222 and jmb are saying . but they dont have or never have to put up with the ,crap fan boy american fan. the same fan who blasts RD5 the last few years at MXON, (even tho he was top USA scorer each year ) the same kind of fan that was that ASSHOLE who was giving out about RD5 not signing his boys throphy!!. the same ASSHOLE S who have been giving out non stop all year that RV should nt of went to MXGP he owed it to the US fans to ride his last year in the US. but now that AC222 and JMB said the same there the ones taking crap?? the same fans that use to be die hard RV fans and hate RD . then the min he left for mxgp . there die hard RD 5 fans ???? ,theres alot of really cool fans and posters on vital . but one thing i have learnt is there are far far far far to many fan boy s(assholes) .and if i was RV i would give too crap s about you s either . this is hard for a caroli or JMB to understand because they have proper die hard MX fan s of theres . people here have said sure how can JMB talk .they way he left . but its like (as nearly every US fan does) forget ,he is not from the US. when he retired he made sure to do loads of stuff for for his true fans eg loads of stuff in france !!!!!!!!!!!! thats what he is refering to. ive met RV he was one of the nicest and funniest riders ive met . ive major respect for him . and imo the way the crapy fans in the USA treat there riders .iam not surprised he does care about 90% of you s . go look up any threads from here the last 3 years you s lost the MXON , the way some of you so called fans treat your riders is terrible !!!!!!!!!! rant over (ps ,the 15% of proper USA MXfans are prob the best in the world out of any )

i know so so many people ride a kawi just because RV does . they all prob kno feck all about MX ( and i am sure they dont have a clue who sean collier even is) plus if you look up all the riders on kawi in the US and mxgp sice 06 .only stewart and rv have had major success on that 450 . and its well kno that js7 was terrible . imo look at some of the riders they have had and done terrible on that bike .in MXGP that bike was near a carrer ender .but RV was winning like hell on it . that sold alot of bikes . but i do kind of agree wit u, just winning on a bike means so much

I can't wait for next year when nobody gives a shit about the GP's again so these America hating trolls crawl back into their cave and I can watch the GP series in peace. You guys are doing nothing but giving the series a bad name, constantly on here talking shit. And this Ryan3231675313 guy, I've thought was a dip shit from the very start. Glad to see everyone is finally catching on. Good night kids!!
