If RV had stayed healthy and won the GP championship I would have no problem calling him the best rider in the world, unfortunately we didn't get to see him and TC battle for long enough to find out who is really the best. And your "not like the rest" comment is just stupid considering most people over here don't actually believe our riders are better than yours, even though you seem to think that.

You're getting worse all the time. You know that right?

Go read your posts. Better still, get the kid or the mrs to do it, maybe then you'll understand how you sound.

Seriously man, you talk about people like the source and you're just as bad.

The same guy has won the title the past 6 years in the GP's. Tell me how deep the field is again.

"My dad is stronger than your dad" argument that will go on until Dungey lays the smack down on Sept 20th.

So Butterwaffles I'm assuming the ama was shit when :

RV was topping everybody
RC
JM
JS

FFS we have never had someone walk an entire season without a loss, how many times has that happened across there? Perhaps you should stop throwing shit around.

Because one guy continues to grapple with the rigours of a season and comes out on top while others fall around him doesn't make the series weak, or the other riders. It's just makes that guy a step above.

What happens September 20?

Clearly, I've gotten under your skin if you have to go through my 500+ posts to make an argument against me (since you'll sidestep all day why YOU don't think my above two points aren't valid). It's fun trolling a troll, isn't it Wink But for argument's sake, let's look at something else I wrote in that very thread right before the post you quoted (since you're in the habit of looking at things so one-dimensionally):

watson wrote: I wouldn't say it's neutral. A good number of the tracks there have been raced by the GP regulars for some time now. But I get what you're saying about the psychological advantage of a home track.

I like how you go straight for the post that most conviently suites your purpose and take it completely out of context.

Maybe it's the Brit pride? It's easy to see where us Americans get our arrogance from Wink
Even when you're caught, you are going to backpedal instead of being a man and admitting that you said one thing before the series started and now another after the fact. I did not take your comments out of context. Look at the statement you were replying to:

The only problem with that line of thinking is that Villopoto simply does not care. 100% honey badger. If anything he's done even better at the 4 MXdNs he has won. He seems to excel in pressure situations where he faces adversity.

Now you are saying:

No such thing as significant differences between the series.

No transition times needed for racing across the pond

Then you were saying:

Oh no, I wasn't saying it's something that will work against RV. Plus, he's got like four times the amount of practice on these tracks than he's used. Considering who RV is, it won't be a disadvantage.

Pony up, mate.

No need to wait until September, your best got beat. Some of you just need to admit it.

Yes, he did get beat in the 3 out of 4 races that he was on the gate. How did Tony do his first season in the U.S?.. So far your toughest guys to sack up and do what few have done in recent years have been Desalle, and Stribos. Desalle scored a 6th overall at Thunder Valley and 7th overall at Muddy Creek in 2013 which is pretty damn impressive. Could he have done even better had he raced more rounds? Possibly. He did get a second in his first race here and Unadilla in 2010.

Bench racing is all this will ever be and we will never know who is the fastest. RV was the "fastest rider in the world" by 30 seconds at round 2. He was the 4th quickest at round 3. We can turn back the clocks to all the Des Nations and say how USA riders layed the smack down for 7 years in a row, making every other rider inferior on that day, but excuses can be thrown around just like people are throwing them around about RV getting beat. He changed his lifestyle for his victory tour, he raced, he won, he got beat, just like many greats have before him. Until a Euro comes stateside and sweeps the competition in year one or vice-versa, bench racing is all this will be. At least us here can say that we have a promoter who gives a shit and cares about the riders and our MX2 champ isn't a sandbagger.

I'd imagine I'll get up, eat breakfast, and lay a massive steaming pile in the bowl, (Ironically, just like a lot of the posts in this thread.) but is that noteworthy?

BTW youre MX2 champ is the real sandbagger at 25 years old ..so all you got is RV at MXDN , a single race a year and that determines the best rider of the world ? so what happend the last years at MXDN if you want to go that way and what happens this year at MXDN you think ? youre joking ... there is no best rider in the world ... not as long as there are 2 series in this world ...

Get your reading comprehension skills right.. First paragraph, last sentence. Or do you need me to highlight it so you don't miss it again?

Our 25 year old sandbagger is from your series, and how many AMA titles/wins does he have prior to this season?

Since when is age sandbagging?

stop the crap , useless conversation as the 2 series and the riders cant be compared and especially not in a single race a year ....

what i do know , the fastest rider in the world on sand , is the true sandbagger Herlings ..thats a fact :-) dont you agree ?

since when is sandbagging racing MX2 if youre 20 and age restriction is 23 ??

When our top rider goes over there and races, get back to me. Until then, your top rider raced the GPs and was a third to fourth place guy. Stop with the excuses, let them go, and set aside your pride. None of the "if your guys came over here" whining, just deal with what actually happened.

Let's start with these:

RV was on average a third fourth place rider in the GPs

Team U.S.A. has lost the last three MXoN

Your former MX2 champ was lapped at Lommel

Would you care to dispute any of those facts?

Post a reply to: RV2 the season that wasn't his.
