It's hard to believe RV only has 12 450 OAs!

Thread was about how many overalls..... I simply stated RV won his the same way Dungy did. Finishing at the top, not always winning, but finishing at the top. Same way Roczen won it last year. All these Dungy is the man... Today was a reflection of years past, Roczen found his speed, Dungy tried to run the pace and began making mistakes when it counted the most. If it werent for a flat tire, this would have been Roczens second overall of the season.
Fact is, no one rider is more dominant than the other right now. Granted, there are only 2 legit title contenders right now, but what happens when Barcia gets his groove back? Hes been up there getting closer each week grabbing holeshots, leading races, after a pelvis injury that takes time to get over, months. Let his confidence get to 100% again.
Ok now just so you understand I'm not a Dungey nut hugger...I appreciate his talent and how he approaches racing...now you are obviously blinded by your hatred...He knows how to manage a championship and is doing a masterful job so far...Barcia is only a threat occasionally he lacks the ability to be consistent and will have flashes of brilliance followed by stupid mistakes and bad decisions, it's why he isn't a title threat. Roczen is fast and talented, but does not have Dungey's number by any means. You need to remove your emotions and enjoy the racing we have and watch how this championship is won...give the guy some credit...

I actually like Dungy. Not the racer per se, but i think he is the epitome of mx/sx. Came up on the outside, not a groomed amatuer. Worked for his shot. Begged for the chance. Earned it. I respect the hell out of him. But he isnt the end all be all people make him out to be. I have zero hatred for the guy, i admire his talent and his ethics. Since his switch to KTM, he has been put on a god like pedestal and it isnt warranted. That was all i was saying. If you read my post correctly, i said he is the same as RV in his championship winning ways. Stay at the front and dont wreck. How is that hatred toward the guy?

No, that's dominant.

Although you do dominate at the art of starting threads to take shots at RV.
Thank you for pointing that out. Very dominant dbag behavior when it comes to Villopoto.

Not for nothing but RV has more titles than everyone bar RC, and beat everyone bar RC to do it. He had some luck but everyone does. Luck also doesn't figure in the record books.

God like pedestal??? Ha, RD5 has more people critizing him on the way he wins champions than I would dare say any previous champ has ever received. The majority tear him down, not put him up on a pedestal.

Are SX titles really comparable to MX titles though?

A highlight of his 250F career, Villopoto smoked the world’s best MX racers regardless of bike, country or credential. Even his American teammates, which included Ricky Carmichael and Tim Ferry, couldn’t keep pace with the promising youth as he led a sweep of the MXoN event. Villopoto returned the following year to claim another MXoN title for the U.S. in 2008, marking his final appearance on the quarter-liter.
Didnt RC stall it or crash out in that race? Didnt actually beat RC head to head? RC lost it himself

Yes, yes i did. And like the thread, 2nd moto is for the overall. And Roczen kept his cool. Dungy didnt.
You have to take the little victories sometimes as a RD hater (no points, just a OA,)
Aaaaand in the first moto Dungey kept his cool while Roczen didn't. Jesus, you people are insane. Dungey gets SECOND in one moto to tie in points on the day but lose the overall and all you guys start your chants about how Dungey got dominated. Unbelievable. Who still holds the red plate? Who made up 0 points on Dungey? Maybe if Dungey finished off the podium in the second moto this kind of talk would be merited, but you guys are grasping at straws here.

When you start saying that Barcia can very soon have the potential to stop RD once he gets to 100%, your slip starts to show. When has Barcia EVER really threatened Dungey outdoors besides the flash in the pan ride he had back in 2011 at Unadilla, in which he nearly took both of them out?

I don't think he's been put on a pedestal because of his move to KTM. I think he's been put on a pedestal (by some) due to how awesome of a rider he has been. Since 2010, he's won 4 450 championships, been in the hunt for each and every one of them, and is the current points leader. How long does he need to be held under water before he earns the right to be put on a pedestal for how legendary his career has been? The numbers speak for themselves, but people don't think they count since his competition has continuously crashed themselves out.
