KRoc and the red plate

I'm not that great with figuring out these scenarios nor do I feel like giving myself a headache trying to figure it out. As of right now, Kenny is 35 points down from the Diesel. What scenarios would need to happen for Kenny to make a comeback? I know a DNF is the given, but realistically speaking, results wise how would they have to play out?

That's what I was thinking. Swapping moto wins wouldn't suffice.. So basically with 18 motos left, Kenny needs to finish 1st in 11 motos to Dungey's 2nd. Sad

Depends on how you wanna look at it.
If Roczen goes on an incredible win streak and Dungey finishes second in every one of those races..
Then it would take Kenny 12 motos (or 6 overalls = the same) to take back the red plate. (12 x 3 points = 36 points made up...)
so yeah we know how consistent and strong Dungey is as a racer. Roczen gonna need some big win streak and luck to fight back ...!

Dungey would need to get on the wrong flight, accidentally end up in Cuba, have to take a raft back to the US and miss a full weekend.

The real answer to your question would be. Roczen needs to socre 35 more points than Dungey does before the season ends and have more wins, they would tie in points but more wins would be the tie breaker. If Roczen gains 36 more points than Dungey does its a done deal.

The bottom line is that its gonna take one of two things. either a BIG mistake by Dungey (not likely) or a mechanical gremlin to bite KTM causing him to DNF a moto (prob even less likely to happen)

The wildcard being a few real mud races taking place where literally anything can happen.

I love both those guys, so its a win win situation either way Cool

It's impossibru. 18 motos left of the season, 54 points to gain from first to second. And Canard is coming back after the break. If Canard can finish in between of Roczen and Dungey it could get interesting. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts...
