That said, I wish Eli all the best BUT I highly recommend that in the future he takes a page from the Ryan Dungey book on how to win championships. That is, what the hell is the point by winning races by 30+ seconds when you run such a high risk of a really nasty crash? Of course I am assuming todays crash was a result of him hauling far too much mail like he has been the first couple rounds, so forgive me if I am dead wrong.
I REALLY like Eli, he's a really cool dude but I have seen him crash too many times in the last year or 2. Please do not become another James Stewart. Back it down JUST A SMALL NOTCH and you will still be just as fast if not a touch faster than Dungey.
But please I hope EVERYONE can begin tor respect Dungey's approach to racing a little bit more. Ya the guy can be overly cautious at times but damned if it doesn't work great to keep it on 2 wheels and stay healthy and rack up a crap load of wins and championship OVER TIME. It's all about patience. Balls out is great until you trip over your balls. Keep those ball steady and level instead.
There is going to be some awesome wins and championships for Eli in the future, even still a good chance he wins this 2015 MX Championship. As a hardcore Dungey fan, I wish him all the best. But I kinda knew this was coming...
Edit, DAMN I found the video of the crash, its been removed from youtube for now but found it elsewhere (sorry about the minute of ads...)

That was straight nasty. I think that was even the exact same corner that James Stewart had that nasty crash a few years back!!! Unreal. Super high speed super rutted going into a turn = nightmare if the bike gets away from you...
That sudden impact was just horrible. I fear for his shoulder, neck and for sure that was a concussion of some degree to the brain. By his reactions afterward, mild to probably a moderate concussion.. I guess it's all down to how bad his shoulder is...

This to me really shows how difficult it is in this sport to go 24-0.
Gives me even more respect to Carmichael and Stewart to be the only 2 riders to date to have accomplished 24 - 0.
To win all races not only that you have fucking fast you although need a lot of luck.
If you see where he crashed I was not even fast.
