He qualified they show him as 7th but didn't make it to the gate for some reason.

He did not qualify. Ronnie was 43rd in timed qualifying and finished 14th in the consolation race. Looking at the lap chart he started 20th in the consi and moved up to 14th. Not much time to overcome a bad start in a 4 lap race.

He was seeded into the consolation race in the 7th spot.

He did not qualify. Ronnie was 43rd in timed qualifying and finished 14th in the consolation race. Looking at the lap chart he started 20th in the consi and moved up to 14th. Not much time to overcome a bad start in a 4 lap race.

He was seeded into the consolation race in the 7th spot.

In his defense, he had to go buy a bike and a hauler 2 weeks before Hangtown, then drive it out from NJ.

But I know what you're getting at, and you're right. He's a quality guy though...

Most all of them are and each and every one has my utmost respect and admiration, including Ronnie. Just thought that other thread took something away from Weston's incredible accomplishments.

Yeah, I knew exactly what you were talking about and I agree. WP has worked harder, taken more chances, and believed in himself more than anyone has done (at that point in their career) in a long time.

Just for the record, I am in favor of changes to the points system which might help bring more interest and money into SX & MX, so that guys like Ronnie can get more support to run their programs so they can be competitive.
