Best setting for a GoPro 3+ black?

Edited Date/Time 4/29/2015 10:31pm
Borrowed my non-riding friends gopro 3+ black for my supermoto race this weekend and was wondering what the best moto settings are? I'll have an electric hookup all day so will be able to take my laptop and extract the videos after each session so running out of space on the sd card shouldn't be a problem. I'm probably going to use a mix of helmet mounted and chest mounted. Thanks

I don't have mine with me but I know 720 works better than 1080 unless you have a real fast PC, Wide Angle and I think 60 fps is best. Get comfortable with turning it on and off with changing modes and get to recognize what the beeps mean before you use it.

My beeps stopped sounding a couple weeks ago. The red light still flashes but I hear nothing. Is there a way to check and/or turn the audio back on?

Yes, go to your settings.

The best setting...........ANY That doesn't record the front fender, bars, and forks.

The video should look at exactly what you'd be looking at riding. Unless you suck and ride staring at the fender, bars, and forks.

I'd rather watch 480 Lines of Res of riding than 1080 of your gas cap.

I make a lot of videos and 1080p is a waste. 720@60fps is the best setting for videos to upload. With 60fps you can make good looking slow motion stuff and 720 loads up fast. I know I know people are going to say, "You can load 1080 to YouTube," but it is a compressed 1080 that is about the same as 720. I also don't think you can do 60fps on 3+. There is my 2¢.

O and camera angle is up to you. Some like the helmet and some the chest, which is what I like, but I got bored with that and made this

Dump that and mount to the back fender during races. Unless you're in last.

Whats shit for mounts is these god damn 360* mount things.

Nobody wants to watch YOU, they want to watch what you're doing like THEY are doing it.

If people want to watch you, have someone film you.

I now see why they add this god damn dubstep music to vids too. I need drugs to watch and listen to this nonsense.

I have a 3+ Black. I'm recording at 1080p 60fps.
If you're recording at 720 for slow motion record at 120fps.

Granted, 720 at 30fps is easier on your computer during playback, but you can only downgrade your video. You can't upgrade from 720 to 1080. You can, but it won't look any better than your original footage.

I just got this camera. 1080p looks amazing! Right now I'm recording in Widescreen mode. I haven't tried Superview yet.
