Thanks for the info bad thing is mine has a pretty nasty crack in it at the front and the person before me did a pretty shotty job at patching it.

E-Bay is probably going to be your best bet. Do your research and pay close attention to detail. I had to source a tank for my 82 CR480 and I saw a lot of tanks described incorrectly - year, model, etc. I found one that might be right, check it out -

That tank is for a 84. They had a nos 83 tank on eBay I was bidding on but it got over $400

I have an 83 tank I don't need. It has been painted black which is probably a good thing. It probably still has good color underneath and is not faded out from the sun.

How's $65 shipped to you. It comes with the gas cap but no petcock. Looks really good inside. That's why I think the color under the paint is in good shape. Send me an email with your info. scotmarian@aol.com
