RV injury update!

That's all RV needed with how this season has gone. An injury. At least he got one overall this season regardless. Better than nothing, but its feeling more and more like watching McGrath on his KTM at this point. Lots of moral victories and looking away from the screen when guys like Tim Ferry started passing him in Supercross.

I guess Malin was right, it was his Coccyx. HIS COCCYX!!!!!

This pretty much sucks. 1st time the bike kicks up and smacks his ass, he will remember he is injured.

Doubt he will ride. That shit is extremely painful and it could last over a month with just a bruise. Then again, the guy doesn't have a soul. What a bummer!

Very bad news

What are his chances of racing this weekend? I was going to go to the GP this weekend as I'll be staying in Amsterdam, but I won't bother dragging my non-moto mate along if RV is out.

I can't imagine riding through that. I've bruised mine badly, twice. That mfer will make you walk on water if anything touches it for at least 2 weeks.

I had him picked for a podium but I'd also be surprised if he can last a moto now. Just sucks. Regardless of who you support in this title battle I think this is exactly what we all feared would happen (though at least he's still out there, so not quite as bad).

That blows, we're heading over and it would've been great to see him ride 100% this weekend!

Hurt mine 16 years ago. I suspected that it was broken, and after the doctor told me how they check to see if it is, I decided to just live with it. Dr. said that they wouldn't do anything about it anyway, even if it was broken. Had many other broken bones to deal with at the time, but that tail bone sure made it difficult to get comfortable. Even to this day, it is very painful for a couple of weeks after I ride. Did two motos at Washougal last summer after being off the bike for a long time, and I couldn't hardly get out of the car after driving home, it hurt so bad.
At least RV isn't on a KTM, with an upholstered brick for a seat.

That's unfortunate, luckily it wasn't worse. Let's hope he can deal with it and not injure it further. We want him 100%. KRT must be putting a plan B together at this moment.

That sucks, hopefully the pain killers and extra cushion might help. I bruised mine once and i was in discomfort for 2 weeks, I can only imagine what a cracked one would feel like. ;(

Over a month? Screw that, it could take up to 6 months before he's 100%. I cracked some bones in my ass snowboarding on hard-packed ice in my early 20's and I couldn't sit without pain/discomfort for at least 4 months. That injury BLOWS. With pain killers he can still compete, but every time he bumps his butt, he's going to feel it.

Damn. Sucks for the MXGP series if this injury keeps him out of some rounds (or all of it,) I'm sure MXGP interest will plummet from the US side.

Not sure if you guys knew about my snowboarding incident, where I bruised my coccyx? But allow me to tell you it hurt like somebody split me with a rusty anvil up my sphincter. Not that I know what that feels like Bro.

I bruised mine in a race years ago. I did it moto one. When I got on the bike for moto two something did not feel right but I went ahead and started the moto. First time I hit something and the bike kicked up I was done. Geez it hurt like a SOB. Stayed sore for weeks. As others have said I don't see it working for him but best of luck.
