No but really that's a dirty bike bro. REALLY like the blue hubs and stuff. If my bike and your bike were chicks they would not hang out in the same crowd Laughing

I've added a powerbomb header since this picture and I've been thinking about the Acerbis skid plate and frame guards. They look good!

The skid plate needed a little TLC to get it to line up with the mounting holes but other than that it's a sturdy plate that seems like it can do its job...the only thing I was is that it covered the water pump a little bit more

Awesome machine Junebug! Have you added it to the "Bike Checks" section of the site? I bet it has a good chance at earning a "Bike of The Day" nomination. I dig those graphics!

Awesome looking bike! I've been working on mine (2014) too. I coming off a Honda, and am super happy with the change.

Did you take the wheel apart when you powder coated the hubs? I want to do the same to mine but I'm afraid of relacing the wheels and putting it back together

Get the acerbis skid plate for sure. They are really nice, especially for the Kawi. But make sure you drill holes in it. It's heavy enough by itself so you don't want it to be collecting mud.

Relacing is pretty easy. Just keep all the spokes together separately. It's the truing that's the hard part but the bike shops here only charge around $40 for that.

If you powder coat your hubs make sure you tension the spokes after the first few rides. Heaps of how to Vids on you-tube.

Yeah I'll probably try doing that. I was gonna buy the tusk wheels but I'm not quite sold on them yet. Plus why put a shittier quality product on your bike just for "looks"

Yes I completely tore the wheel apart and took out the wheel bearings also. I have a friend that is really good at lacing wheels so I bought some spokes and gave everything to him and bought him a 12 pack and we are good to go!

LOL. Thanks guys. I used to be a "oh this brand is the only brand guy." As I've gotten older, they're all nice! Keep the pic coming! The OP kawi is sexy sick though as well as the others. I always liked the kawasakis with the blue touches... Which we all know adds horsepower... Cause we all know blue is the fastest. Laughing
