RV is fine... he is very fast like he always is when the track is smooth and suits his USA style - wide open.

But this is the world championship... every track is different and you are going to different countries every week and it's rougher. Being wide open doesn't always work... you have to be versatile, that's what makes you the best in the world. That's why AC is currently the best... he has all the pieces of the puzzle.

You can never claim a guy winning his own national championship is the best in the world until he does it in the World Championship - it's the toughest outdoor series in the world.

RV can still win this title but he needs to become more versatile with his riding and quickly, his one dimensional style works in the USA or on tracks that suit him but this GP series is the a different ballgame. He is good enough to figure it out and it will make him a better rider but he is 25 points down to Desalle already, he needs to come out swinging next moto!
All this talk of winning AMA championships being 2nd rate to the gp title is crazy to me. I don't think you have to win the gp title on any year to be the best in the world. So whoever won the gp title in the same years rc was winning or Hannah, RJ was better than them since they didn't go over and ride the gps???

RV is going to be better 2nd moto, trust me. And all you guys who say he's a 4th to 6th guy, shut your fucking face up. It's his 3rd fucking round of his LIFE in the GP's. And he's getting top 5's. That's enough to make all your Euro racers look like pussies. I'm sad for all you guys when he hits his stride in a few rounds!!
Well he was a 4th-6th guy this moto. As i said in previous post, he can very well win next moto! So can 5-6 other guys. Thats why this is the best season ever Smile

Can you believe the change in Ferrari?!? I bet Alonso is a bit bummed not finishing and his old team back on top!

RV needs an IV like all the other top guys who ride the US series get. Yup I just said it, and yup I'm just speculating but we will see how far his lap times drop off from moto 1 and I think it will tell us something.

Anywho, it's no doubt these guys haul serious doopa. I dont think RV is as trained as he has in the past and I think he is focused moreso on the travel aspect at times instead of training and racing...which I say good for him. He dominated the US and has dominated MXDN motos so what does he really need to show? Just have fun on your tour out of dirtbike racing.

I hope he can come back after some adjustments in moto 2 but if he sails in another 4th, good for him.

Hm yeah
New track to everyone you know.
You don't need half a season to adapt to the fact that you have more time available for practice.

Poto only had to race Dungey for a full outdoor series when he was healthy over here. He essentially has 5-6 Dungey's to race against now. There was no Stewart, Tomac, Barcia, Roczen, Reed Chadapulted himself, no Canard, a lot of guys were hurt, sitting out or in 250's.

Not an excuse. There's just more guys capable of running his pace, or close to it. It's not 2013 or 2011. He won't blitz through the pack with a bad start in this series. The time delta's are just to close.

RV needs DV more than Aldon. As soon as track get`s rough, especially braking bumps, he struggles.

I really don't think RV needs Aldon, I think he is just getting beat straight up by faster guys, or at least guys who know how to GO faster without just hammering the throttle.

Seems like to me the GP guys not only have better setups, but are just more technically sound and fluid on the bike which allows them to float around the track. Yeah, RV has probably the most raw speed out of anyone, but at what cost to his setup ? He looks like he is bulldozing through everything, which works, but not nearly as well as the smooth styles of Cairoli and Deasalle.

Speaking of Desalle, how crazy would that be if he won the whole shebang? With the whole focus being on TC and RV, it would be a great upset.

Moto 2 will be interesting, bring it on !
By smooth style, do you mean way softer suspension? Lol, I get It, they have a smoother style than RV, but who doesn't. Most racers do. Now, you could definitely tell RV was fighting his setup again. He was never known for setting up a bike or even having to. I remember when it was said RV would just ride his bike the same all season and never really change anything. Plus, Chad even said RV has a messed up way for a setup. Didn't even know how RV could ride it. I believe they will be chasing this for a while because RV really has know clue how to get it to work at this point. Just my opinion.

Ok 2nd motos, I'm saying Herlings is mad and wants this but he doesn't have the track knowledge, Ferrandis will push him hard for the first 20 mins.

Mxgp let's keep the championship alive and see RV take this one, CD25 pushing hard to retain his red plate. Hope 222 is able to fight too after that crash.

All the great champions despise losing. Losing and the hate of losing inspires them to push harder and farther than their competition. If you don't know that already, well you apparently don't study the champions much. And if you think I or anyone else need to be a national champion in motocross to know that in general about them, you are a true idiot and the one with zero credibility.
How is that relevant to not accepting the loss? A lot of hero talk with subjective and ad hominem arguments, but nothing else. Stop talking like you speak in the name of those champions and enjoy the race.

Finally someone who gets it!!! Geez, It's not that hard to figure out. Soften the damn thing up finally. It's good when there isn't so many dang bumps. It's not "rocket surgery". lol

Huh? In 2013, Stewart, Reed, Dungey, and Canard were all there and he won 18 motos.
