Ah man, i know, it would drive me loopy too! Definitely one of Cairoli's best qualities, he always makes time for the fans, seems an all round good guy and great embassador for the sport!

It's the Thor Comp Flex Deflector. Was going to get it but I needed front and back protection, this is just for roost.

Scotty, if you were able to find out that was Carlos, who the hell is that troll "The Source" really?
The Source doesn't match up with any previous accounts that I noticed, but he is located in California. Wink

Not sure, but I use the Thor roost shirt you posted and it works really well. I'm a big fan of it. I used the One industries one for a while but it tore apart, The Thor one holds up well.

Anyone that thinks RV cant sprint for 25+2, and have plenty left over for 2 30+2 motos tomorrow is crazy.

A race weekend is like a weekend off for him (for any of those guys)...look at their daily training routines...,two motos, hit the gym, bike ride...who knows what else.

Good grief...all this conserve energy talk is nonsense. Any of them can sprint for 30 minutes and have plenty left over for the next day.

If the GP regulars do "cruise" for the qualy Moto (and I'm not convinced that they do), I'd say it's more so they don't get hurt than to conserve energy.

All I have to go by is this thread. It sounds like it was a good race. Obviously just a qualifier, but still some good racing nonetheless.

I don't understand how people can think Villopoto spent too much energy. Look at the last GP. He went for it in the qualifier and first moto. He won big, more than he needed to. That had an effect on him in the second moto. This was also an extremely hot race, the riders weren't acclimated to it, and Villopoto is still racing himself back into shape. Villopoto went 1-3 and won the overall. The energy he spent today won't matter tomorrow.

I don't think any rider really went for it today. There's no reason to. Maybe a lap or two, but not the entire race.

This could be the beginning of Cairoli and Villopoto distancing themselves from the pack. I think that time is coming at some point, and maybe this race was where it starts.

Also if they can sprint Moto 1 and then be able to recover between Motos to sprint for moto 2....certainly they would have enough time to recover between the qualy moto today and the 1st moto tomorrow.

Unless you think the riders cruise moto 1 to have something left in the tank for moto 2...which nobody does (unless they are cruising out front).

Itll be an interesting one to watch, apart from a great last lap AC's times dropped bigtime fromthe 6th lap onwards, lappers maybe?

RV had a great ride, shame Desalle went down early,he could well have taken this one, hopefully theyll all give us a treat tomorrow Some mentioned RV might not be on top form but im pretty sure we haven't seen the best of AC so far this season

I rather he qualify top 5 on Saturday and show the world what he has on Sunday. He has a history of not being the top qualifier and crushing it when it matters. Go RV!

The answer is really simple, a new bike here costs around U$s25.000.

This means: no local races, no competition, no sponsors, no nothing.

So, local racers prefer to stay healthy for the National Championship or other country's championships (lots of Argentina riders competing in Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay)

I know a couple of riders that are taking a chance in this race and they are racing stock bikes. No chance...

My best bro rode for IMSA Honda in your National Championship back in the 90's, made pretty good $$ and almost won the title, but got hurt w/ 1 round remaining. Ill see if i can dig up the pic.

It is not a major issue of who "won" the issue is 4 of the top 5 finishers cruised and didn't expend a serious amount of energy or take risk, just a "business as usual "plan, 1 rider rode like a bat out of hell and used a serious amount of energy but , they are all within a a few feet of each other at the gate tommorrow. Experience.
And you know how much energy these guys expended how? You also know 1 expended more than the others by? Once again you fill a post with speculation and no actual facts, your not even a troll or fisherman your a clown!

A little early but what does everyone think about Gautier so far? Looking back at his lap times they aren't bad and of course it was only a qualifier. But I have to say I was surprised he didn't climb a little higher during the race. I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation for a rider of his calibre i.e a serious title contender. I'm just cheering for him to be up there with the top guys where he belongs - certainly not meant as a criticism. I wonder if he picked up an injury from the collision in Thailand. His starts are also crap, I don't think Iv'e seen him up front in any of the races yet, including qualifiers.
