Racerx & TWMX

Edited Date/Time 2/10/2015 11:35am
Do racer x and TWMX have the same reporters/interviewers. Because if you watch TWMX how was your night videos and then read racer x interviews that come out Monday morning they are the exact same. I'm always expecting to hear different questions to the riders but the are pretty much exactly the same. Any one else notice this

I stopped watching the Transworld videos a long time ago. It's the worst video player on the planet.

I remember when they first started doing videos, we couldn't get enough of them, now we are video quality connoisseurs.Smile

I just prefer to read interviews as opposed to listening to/watching them. It's much more convenient.

I would assume the riders are saying the same things to each question. What different questions are the reporters going to ask?

Don't twmx have a YouTube channel now though? I'm sure their videos are uploaded on there to eliminate the crappy video player.

They used to do it through youtube. A few years back they switched to their own video player, which hasn't really given me any problems so I don't know what all the fuss is about.

There are often multiple media members interviewing a rider at one time, and sometimes the same content is shared on different platforms. For example, a podcast interview might later be posted as a Monday Conversation. If you consume all of the different post race reports (podcasts, interviews, videos, etc) you'll see a lot of overlap in the content.

I prefer the Vital Photo/Audio style. I'd much rather look at photos whilst hearing the interview than look at some guys sweaty face.

Matthes interviewed Roczen in the latest How Was Yr Wkend on Transworld.

Their video player works for me, but it is annoying to have to jump back n forth between 10 pages and cue up 10 videos.

With 10 race car noises...

That's kind of odd to me since Matthes is a RacerX employee. Maybe Matthes can chime in on that arrangement. Perhaps he's working as Pulpmx instead of RacerX at that point. I don't really know.

Thanks.

I think more often these days, riders prefer doing post-race interviews in a group setting, rather than a bunch of one-on-ones. That's why you get some interviews that sound the same. It's because they are.

Personally I like the audio versions, because I think you get more hearing it than you do if you're just reading text and having to figure out the inflection. (Is he joking? Serious?)

As for the group setting interviews, we currently have one agent who likes to call people in by announcing, "Gather around for the circle jerk." He did it again on Saturday night. I asked, "Seriously?" When he laughed and nodded, I turned around and walked away...as he tried to grab my photo vest to pull me back.

I'm far from being a sensitive type, but I respect his rider in how I portray him. I think it's fair that he respects what we're doing, too.

Everything i've seen reported on here has been very respectful, all you guys do a hell of job Guy B. I would get real tired of that kinda shit, no doubt. respect is a two way street. You've been at it a long time Guy, i most certainly would of been burnt out long ago if i had your gig, or runoff or both haha.

So who is the agent and for which rider ? If its a professional agent and he acts like that he deserves to be called out.

The 1-2-3 interviews that GuyB does with the podium guys posted on the home page, and then the Pulp Pro Circuit after race pods are the best... Inflection means a lot in an interview, especially considering the reading level of many here!

He's probably trying to be funny, but that is a douchey way to call people in. Good for you for saying something.
