I know RV can ride as well as anybody on the planet. However, he is the one coming back from injury, riding for a new team, in Europe for an extended time, all new tracks, etc. That's a lot to overcome and Cairoli has proven he knows how to ride too. This is not a given for RV.

much like the nfl, home field advantage will factor in pretty heavily.

i'm so pumped to see how it's going to play out, but taking on THAT much change and attempting to accomplish this goal in one year might be even more than RV can chew off. it's a huge undertaking and carioli has been running these tracks for years. He's jumping into the deep end against very capable riders and attempting to turn it all on it's head.

it's going to be a ton of fun to watch but RV not winning the series almost seems to be the clear bet with all things considered.

I love how its 5 months away and already there are signs of some peoples attitudes covering their asses.

Set it straight, don't put little caveats in your comments.

RV is the bollox

AC is the bollox

A lot of the top GP crowd are the bollox - too many are being discarded - ever heard of people having breakout years?

If one wins, he wins, if he loses, he loses, there are a lot of things that can go wrong next year - keep the excuses to yourselves, act like pro's.

FOR THE RECORD - RV will NOT be affected by food, travel, or atmospheric pressure from the movement of the moon and the god damn alignment of the old, new and yet to be found planets - - he is here to race, is enjoying training with a great team mate, is enjoying the food, the temperatures, the people, his team etc etc.

Roll on Qatar so we can get rid of all this damn speculation - better still, GIMME A1 !

He really shouldn't have any difficulties at all in coming over here as far as off the track life goes. He's got a great team to look after him, pretty much everyone in the MXGP paddock speaks English, nearly everywhere he goes in Europe he will find people who speak English, the food is no different, most places drive on the same side of the road, the weather will be different to what he was used to in FL but not too different to Washington. It really shouldn't be a big deal at all for someone as professional as him. The racing side might be a bit different. Getting used to a new format and new tracks and stuff but I wouldn't think it would take him that long to get his head round that

Can not wait to see this battle. Two of the best in the world, with obviously a deep field. Lets be honest, the level these guys ride at today is unbelievable. The guy finishing 40th is a local legend where he grew up. I've been a RV fan since '06, so I hope he wins it all as a last hoorah.

Question how many seasons in the 450 class has RV actually been healthy enough to race the WHOLE supercross season
& the outdoor in the same year? was it 3?

its a change but...
a 16 year old little guy from germany did it the other way round. And his mother language is not english, he had a hard time signing stuff from his house, health insurance and so on (his father doesnt know many english words either).
If he could do it I guess a 26 year old multi time champ can do it as well
