Has Herlings ever had to ride like that? He seems to be so much faster than competition at the time that passes are easy for him.

Have you seen any of his races? He has not made many friends on the track, serious podium and off the track interviews slamming those he had "incidents" with. This of course makes him a fan favorite.

Cooper is flying fast as F compared to the other guys in the 250w, and not afraid to tangle with some colorful off podium/off track interviews....

The similarities are there, I just imagine if Herlings and Webb were going at it.

Cooper would be closer to Jeffery on an mx track than Jeffery would be to Cooper on a sx track.
I'm more curious who would win the smack talk Battle between the two. Right now I would give the edge to Herlings but Webb has been stepping up his smack game as of late.

Has anyone looked at the race schedules for this summer to see if Herlings will have the opportunity to race an AMA National?

Yes I have seen his races I just don't remember Bowers-Webb type incidents.

Millville is an off weekend in between Latvia and Loket.

Easier opportunity for US riders to ride the USGP at GH on September 20th than a Euro flying round trip here for one event. Nonetheless I hope Herlings shows up at Millville.

How long would that bet go.....and who would even remember it? He isn't going to show up here. If he did.....it would be this year in the 250 class. He would have a better chance at trying to get on the box. The 450's....here? Forget about it!

Can you imagine Herlings, Webb, Martin, AC, Marvin, Hill, Bogle and all the new rookies all on the same track? It'd be a damn murderer's row of racers. Hopefully Herlings makes it over for a National, or the US heavy hitters show up for the USGP.

Do you think that the chances of Webb showing up at the GH USGP are any better? I doubt it.

I don't think Herlings really wants to come here. He is on top of the world in GPs, and if he came here and got his ass handed to him, his status would be tarnished. I hope 'Poto slams the 450 field race after race and puts the stamp on motocross that the U.S. truly is the only place you can prove you're the best in the world. The question of their best (Cairoli) and ours head to head for a season is about to be answered.

@Jefro98: What the hell are you talking about? Where do you believe the proving ground for the best in the world is? GPs? On fairground tracks? If Cairoli is the best in the world, we'll know soon enough. Has Herlings said he wants to come here? I haven't heard it, but I could surely be wrong. If he does and he doesn't manage well, which I imagine he would, but if not, what does that do to his rep in the GPs, and the rep of the GPs in general? You're an idiot I see. Call me 8 years old? Please. I'm sure you think you've got it all figured out, but clearly you misunderstood something along the way reading what I wrote. Or that's just how stupid you are. And we don't get boo'ed at the MXdN over here.

I'm pretty sure he was going to come to the States for a race (Millville?) last year before he broke his leg. Even if he doesn't come over for a national this year, hopefully the big guns from the 250 nationals show up for the USGP (450 guys, too).

If you think Herlings is going to "walk" Cooper, Martin, Cianciarulo, and Musquin at motocross track, I have some beach front property in Death Valley for sale. Its absolutely disrespectful to these riders. Why even bench race Herlings on a Supercross track, he does not ride it.

You will be surprised at the amount of American riders who show at the US MXGP.... the event falls after the final round of the MX Nationals.

I might actually have to go with coop on this one... He has so much confidence going right now. I know Herlings is fast as hell, but you can't say he isn't a different rider after his injury last year.

Either way, I would love to see Jeffrey come over and give it a shot... I would be shocked if he wasn't at the front batteling and how can that be bad for the sport!?

I am betting they show to race. That said, why would Cooper, Webb etc race a GP and risk injury if it falls during the Nationals? They will not. The 2015 US MXGP occurs after the final National. Less risk, race for National pride.

Right now, with Herlings still coming back to his best, I would say it would be pretty close, especially on an American track. If in a month or so Herlings finds the form he had in '12, '13 & '14, then I'd have to give it to him. In my opinion he's the fastest 250 rider on the planet. He's not far off being the fastest straight up, but he needs to move up to prove that.

Hey Id love to see it dont get me wrong. But this ranks up there with 7 racing it, Its just not gonna happen. Too much to lose and not enough to gain. Edit. If it did happen 84 out front by 20 seconds. He is the fastest 250 rider around and getting faster every year.
