Yes that does make sense, but it is just a sketch so the fit will be optimized when producing Wink

Rubex is not a new material. Its a different weave of spandex. Nice try.

Well it is new for me as I haven't heard anything about it before and no motocross gloves seem to use it

Tell me your toughts on the design. Wink I wasn't sure about the roost guards, because that would make this glove less breathable and less stretchable for optimum fit so I tought that if this glove sells well then I will design some more gloves (for winter; with roost guards; with velcro straps etc.) The price has changed a bit due to import tax, so the new price will be $20 and I don't think that it will be a big problem Wink
OK so serious question for you to think about.

I'm a Fox guy, right? They make an "Airline" glove that seems very similar to what you're trying to do. (I'm sure there are multiple established brands that also make something similar). Fox is about as premium as it gets when it comes to MX gear (at least in terms of price point and being a desirable brand). The Fox Airline glove retails for $29.99.

So my question to you is: Why should I buy your glove? Aside from the design and being a mere $10 cheaper, what makes your glove different? What is going to sway me to ditch my current glove and start using yours? If you're not solving a problem or addressing some sort of void in the market, then what are you doing? If you're simply trying to be another glove on the shelf and hoping that people will buy it since it's $10 cheaper, then It's going to be extremely difficult to be successful.

What do you think?

So this is it guys! You, yeah YOU can participate in designing of a totaly revolutionary mx glove! Basically you can leave coments on what the glove should look like, what new things you would like it to have ( for better grip, comfort and durability). You will be able to buy these gloves and they will have a great price and quality. I think that this is the first time some company is letting the riders decide what will the glove become! Smile Every suggestion will be considered.
I can't help myself...........you obviously missed the fact that this is a "totally revolutionary" mx glove.......

As the matter of fact I am a fox guy myself and all of the gear I use is from fox, but as for every product there are some problems that need to be fixed, for example my thumb gets messed up pretty badly, so I'm trying to fix that, also the fit and comfort of the upper part of the glove could be better, so I'm trying to fix that with "Rubex" material and some other little things I'm tweaking.

WANT SOMETHING REVOLUTIONARY?

3D print the gloves so there are no seems. Not sure if this is possible with fabric though.

EDIT: After some quick research it looks like the fashion industry is utilizing 3D printing for shoes, clothes etc.

3D printing is the way of the future. That is revolutionary thinking right there.

No logos. Lots of pads on the top of the fingers.

I think gloves without padding are useless

-No seam on the thumb where you grip the bars
-made for the almost fist-like position of the hand, so the material can't roll together when you grip a bar

Great to ask the ones who use them!
Thumbs up! Wink

Update on the gloves: the material of the gloves will be changed to super thin and breathable fabric due to Rubex being too thick and it might get too hot wearing the gloves. About the padding on top of the fingers there is a poll here: http://goo.gl/HZbiCG

My 2 cents,..I've always thought that gloves with "Clarino" palms (synthetic leather) were always the most comfortable after being worn in, soaked with sweat, etc. They last decent, and if the price wasn't so reflective of the brand itself, i.e., fox, etc,. I think it would continue to be an integral part of a quality glove, provided the price point could be suitable.

Not talking down? Sorry I can't even get to the end of this thread without letting you know what a pessimistic dick you seem like.

If you don't like the fact that someone wants to make a product for our sport,, and that they are asking for opinions on how to make it good, then don't comment.

Although you may be right, your implied attitude through text makes you seem like a negative nancy, ass.

I always wore the waterski fox gloves. No padding as such but real comfy and great grip.

I dunno if this has been said, but I think the tip of the fingrs (where our fingerprint is) is a weak area on gloves. That would b my thinking, make that better than the rest.

What do you mean by that? Like we should put double layer on the fingertips of the gloves?

You are the one that is supposed to start the initial investment.

Yup, if you've got orders and people expecting gloves, pony up and get 25 of them made. If you're selling them at $20 that shouldn't cost more than $400 for the whole batch unless you aren't making any money off of it..

Sounds like they're using sales to generate capital to make the first run. It's a poor and backwards business model. Their customers are bearing the cost of their design on an unproven product. They should have at least had prototypes done, and a small quantity available prior to coming to market.

At the very least, it should be transparent that this is what's going on at the time of ordering. It doesn't look like they're doing that. They're collecting orders and holding them until the 25 glove minimum is met.

For not having the investment in a small quantity of inventory (showing you're willing to take some risk on your own product) and the lack of transparency...I will not be a customer.

Good luck,
Shane
