For the most part no. To OD on it takes a ridiculous amount, its something like 1500 pounds within a short period of time such as 30 minutes. However, there are case studies which show that the long term health affects of marijuana as in smoking can lead to emphysema and lung disease.

smoke 2 joints in the afternoon,it makes me feel alright

but yes,you can smoke too much weed,but you'll be eating too much and you might die from that

You'd die from smoke inhalation before the weed would get you.

Now eating the stuff might be a bit different. It's really easy to eat waaaaay too much of it. Although beyond the mind fuck I doubt it has any detrimental health effects. You'll spend a few hours wishing you hadn't done what you did, but you're not going to die from it.
