I just think he's not helping himself by riding over here when the tracks are as busy as they are and not really representative of what he'll be racing on. It doesn't look like he'll be doing any pre-season races either, which i think will be a mistake, because a lot of his main competitors will have 3 or 4 races under their belts before the season starts

I think it helps. Have you ever tried to do an all out speed moto like RV was doing with a track as crowded as the 405 in rush hour? That takes concentration and quick thinking.
No. I'm normally the traffic

From the British Peanut Gallery:

1. Desalle is a Bad-Ass
2. Ryan's a Sissy.
3. A GoPro gives the same perspective as "being there".
4. RV doesn't free-ride & practice at some of the most epic "hill tracks" in the Southland.
5. They've never heard of Beaumont.
6. RV ain't the same guy that WAXXED THE WORLD on a 250F...in the Sand.
7. Only Europe has tough tracks for Real Men.

Desalle is pretty badass.
RV isn't a sissy, no-one said he was
GoPro doesn't give the same impression as being there, but i was there.
No one ever said anything about free riding
It's not just Europe that has real tracks, but it's got a damn site more than the US has
You're not the only Brit posting...

Also, your knowledge of races that Ryan's won is lacking.

There are places to ride out here that're beyond your dreams.

Dude, Europes tracks are shit, no two ways about it. I will agree though, he needs to ride those shit tracks to know what shit feels like, so he can ride on those shit tracks fast as shit.
No Europe has proper MX tracks. Not groomed to perfection flat out tracks with 100+ft jumps after every corner

Haha okay. Well i honestly cannot remember RV beating everyone in the world in sand, but I'll take your point about the tracks, there are some great ones in America, but it seems like they don't use them for nationals anymore

I'd like to set up a betting pool for everyone to guess your age. Can you disclose it to me in a PM so we can get this started?

That's because of location and ability support a large crowd. Although if you watched GH this year, or Southwick in years past, those get ROUGH.

Yeah i know. In fairness, they've had a similar problem in GP's to a certain extent. Lot of the old tracks can't cater for the big rigs and stuff like that

No, i never intended to talk shit at all. Just point out that Desalle waited till the track was clear and rough to do his motos and RV did his when the track was smoothest and busiest. In my original post i said that RV looked extremely quick and it was a pleasure to be on the track with him. It surprises me that he would want to practice with that many people that are so much slower than him, seems a little risky

I can't believe he feels comfortable going that fast with all those "lesser" skilled riders. Is that just open practice mixed with A,,B,C and D riders or is it A, B type practice?

I'm sitting on the couch with a shattered pelvis and broken ribs from riding on the track with a "new" rider and making a stupid mistake taking me out. So it seems dangerous for him to be practicing with people that much slower. I wish him the best and will be cheering for him loudly!!

All I have to say is the rougher a track gets. The more RV becomes RV. Cairoli and Villo IMO are the 2 best mx riders in the world. Time will tell if RV went about his training the smartest way possible. The funny thing is RV does not give a shit what you, me, or anyone else that likes this 2 wheeled circus we call a sport thinks! Dude is a racer and he is coming to race. We should all be thankful that we are about to see the best mxgp season in a long long time! My bet is on a bike that starts with a K winning the title!

Heal up quick dude that sounds like a real nasty one. I totally agree, the closing speed RV had on some people including myself was absolutely frightening. It would only take a guy to have a slight wobble and niether of them would have a chance.

You know I said the same when I saw Stewart rolling around mid pack for the majority of supercross the past 4 years.

That's socal MX tracks for ya. The amount of crowds they get it wouldn't make sense to completely shut them down for the pros.

maybe you should start acting like it.

who cares what desalle did, do you know what RV's schedule was for that day that would preclude him from staying latter? I know I don't, and im quite sure you don't have an idea either!

What were his other commitments that day, maybe 100 mile road bike ride, maybe meeting with sponsors, meeting with his team... you are making a lot of assumptions in your string of posts.

just saying

If yall think US pro tracks are smooth and easy, try riding one after they host a national. Its like the roughest thing you will ever experience.

And if yall dont think Poto, one of the greatest riders to ever live, can handle a bit of track roughness, yall must be high as shit.

I think Euro's are just scared because you know whats commin.....

Then why the hell did you fly your ass out here to ride them??? Your ignorant, and don't have a clue, because if you did, you would actually be in the industry not forcing your opinions on a dirtbike forum. All of these riders know what there doing, and you sir, do not or you'd be racing against them not bench racing them with terrible facts you pull out of your ass. TC is a very good rider for sure, he could break his leg walking down the stairs tomorrow, anything can happen. So leave it till the races! And 2011 he waxed the MXON. please, enlighten me with your highly intelligent comment.
