Specially what Eli said after the finish line:

"when we were going back and forth, I could tell there is respect between us, you know, that is awesome. We weren't trying to take each other out. Putting best effort on the track and not worried about each other that is what racing is all about."

Those two guys are my favourite, and I really don't care who ever gets the win, both are an example.

I like that comment as well. I also liked the 2nd race at the MXDN in Germany 2 years ago. Tomac was all over Kenny's ass pretty much the entire race but Kenny help his composure and held Tomac off for the win. After the race was over they stopped at the finish line to give each other congrats. These two are true sportsmen and will be racing each other like this for a very long time to come and I for one will be here to watch it play out!!

I dig that kind of racing too. I don't mind seeing plastics being rubbed......just dig good clean racing , let the fastest guy win.

I agree. They don't even race clean, but also talk smart and nice about each other.

Last summer I became I lil' bit tired of Cooper Webb's interviews about Jeremy Martin, and so Barcia talking about his "BamBam" style.

That must be a hell of a lesson for Barcia, to see his "nofriend" K-Roc and Eli "the Honda is the best bike ever" racing for the win, while he is fighting to get into the top ten.

RC and James echoed similar comments. Loved racing each other, could go hard but safe cause of mutual respect. RC/JS battles from 2006-2007 were the best I've ever seen and many with more history in the sport than me said the same. Let's all hope for some more of that. Oh and in one of James quotes he also said he didn't have that same trust when racing Reed.
