Not uncommon to re-route them with supermoto wheels, so the tyre doesn't try and eat it.
I can't remember what I did with my CR as it was almost 15 years ago, but I continued to run the long external line on my yamaha.
I even had to trim the fork guards for tyre clearance, and the tyre used to rub the forks at the thick lower portion of the outers on the way past.

Nice seat cover, the reason i chose the one on the bike was the flow of the nuclear red from the front to the back of the bike. Any chance of a pic of the whole bike your flo yellow seat cover is on please.

That cover is not mine, but I have a similar one coming but with with blue rear part for the bike in my avatar.
