It looks to me like this thread turned into a product review, and that's all good (as i am now going to try the shout thing), but i think the most common method that is underlying here, is defined as maintenance. Most guys that have bitchen looking bikes, also have a constant regiment of maintenance, that includes cleaning. As stated, it helps you to inspect and learn every aspect of your bike. My personal mantra, is that the bike gets put back in the garage the way it left it, so when i plan to go riding, or racing, my day isn't over until the bike is cleaned and lubed at the very least. I also use WD40 to coat, and wipe every, square inch by hand, not because I'm ocd, but because I have respect for the time, money and effort that I've put into it, and also because it is ultimately the best regular inspection process that I know of.

What is the shout in a spray bottle or what I'm wanna give it a try now.
This is it. Sometimes the large 1.34 gallon jugs also include a bonus spray bottle.

I use Mr Clean yellow but I cut it 50/50 with water and as Uncle Tony can attest my bikes are always clean and shiny :-)
I'm with you guys. I used Simple Green for years. Mr Clean Yellow is the cleaner of choice today in my garage. Dirt seems to not stick to your bike as bad when you use this stuff.

Someone a while back said Reed's bike what washed with this 50/50. Going to give it a try its fairly cheap compared to shout.

I checked the msds on Mr. Clean and it has a pH of 10, which is alkaline. Watering it down is a good idea and you'll want to be sure that you don't accidentally leave any of it on your bike.

Neutral pH is 7, which is water.

been getting this from Cycle gear after Simple green faded my anodizing. Shout works well too.
Yeah, same with me. It's a little over $20 for a gallon jug here at Cycle Gear.

With that said, yesterday I tried the Shout. I have to say I'm impressed. It works almost as good as the VP stuff. I guess I will try the Mr. Clean deal next. Are you guys cutting it, or going straight?

I'm looking to buy a new pressure washer, anyone have a good recommendation? The yamaha 3000/800 psi unit looks good, kinda pricy at $760 though....?

I just cleaned mine with some WD-40, maroon scotchbrite pad and some elbow grease.

Did it all while watching tv. Not a bad Sunday.

It helps when you have a brand new engine to start with Smile Try something 15 years old! Ignore the stator cover, I'm not going to paint it for awhile.

It wasn't brand new, but it wasn't very dirty to begin with. It has 30 "woods" hours on it, so it's seen more mud and crap than a Moto will probably ever see.

That RM is looking clean though.
