1. Justin Hill - Really rooting for Lil Hill to have a good year and take a title!
2. Malcolm Stewart - Coming in under the radar and can bulldog his way to a podium.
3. Jessy Nelson - He's been killing it lately and should be a top 3 threat week in week out.

1. Trey Canard - All the momentum is going his way, really hoping for a breakout year (by winning a title) for Trey.
2. Chad Reed - He's fired up, and should be hungry coming into the year.
3. Cole Seely - I have a feeling he's going to grab a good start and prove why he has that factory ride.

250-
1) 32 Justin Hill- Killed it with the big guys at Monster cup, great bike great team, healthy.
2) 6 Jeremy Martin- Outdoor champ wants to prove that he's for real inside. Won the last SX he raced so momentum..
3) 34 Mookie- So talented shouldn't be on a small bike but on a great ride and team has to be a favorite

450-
1) 41 Trey- Momentum from outdoors. So aggressive-
2) 94 Kenny- Momentum from outdoors but a new bike so talented...
3) 3 Eli- Killing it in Europe looking super comfortable....

Canard - Been on a tear since the last few outdoor rounds and I think he's willing to put it on the line to get the A1 win.
Dungey - RD will be strong as always. I think he'll gain some spots through attrition and oh yeah, he's never missed the podium at A1.
Reed - Not phased by the A1 hype. Reedy will be Reedy and find his way up on the podium.

Such a tough(as usual) question to answer.
Expected winners? I pick any of these guys;

Rockzen/Dungey/Millsaps/Canard/Reed/Tomac/Wilson(caution,arm pump)/Anderson/Grant(very fast,after long layoffs)/Seely/Brayton(w/good start/animal in the whoops).

All have ability to pull it off at "1st round of series.20 laps".
But with a championship run,i feel, not all the class veterans in that list ,will make it a do or die win.

I see the Honda riders going for it and the new young guns. And depending on how hard the new young guys push the pace, determines the amount of veterans on the top 3 spots Saturday night.
*Race enemies will be ,Arm Pump,Stamina,Bike Setup,Bad Starts,Slow Passing,Crash and or Injury.
So who would be the quickest INDOOR SX passers?

- 250
1. Justin Hill
2. Cooper Webb
3. Malcolm Stewart

Webb and Hill both showed flashes of speed last year, this year they deliver consistent results. Stewart is just good.

- 450
1. Eli Tomac
2. Trey Canard
3. Ryan Dungey

Tomac's off season races made him the favorite for me. Canard's MEC performance impressed enough to warrant at least a podium (potentially a win). And Dungey is Dungey, nothing else needs to be said. I think Davi and Kenny will ride good but will come up just short this weekend. Barcia will finish a lonely 6th. Reed will hit the deck at some point.

1. KRoc - Most riders go better when they change to the Zook from just about any other bike. Kenny is looking really good in the corners from what I have seen in pre-season testing. Also, the only two riders faster than him from A1 last year are both out.
2. Millsaps - 2013 was not a fluke, and he is in better health and fitness now than then. MEC was not a fluke either.
3a. 3b. Trey Canard - I just dont think his MX speed is going to transfer over to SX as much as some people think.
3b. Tomac - The most ballsy hang it out speed in the class when he is on..but also very up and down. I would not be surprised if he won in dominating fashion...and I would also no be surprised if he finished 6th.

It is going to be a very competitive season with no Stew and no RV...

Of course, on caveat to A1 is the track layout sucks balls with lots of 90 degree corners and too few long sections with 180s. This means that the start will be 75% of the race....so anything can happen...really. If Dunge or Reedy get the holeshot...they will finish on the podium.

Kenny Roczen wins then Roger DeCoster punches him in the face in honor of Ohio State football coach Woody Hayes

Barcia second (he failed to knock Kenny down)

Mike Alessi 3rd (see his bike below)

Tomac-since KYB's he's the man
Millsaps - He's on a championship bike and has the pace without taking risks
Dungey- Unless he holeshot's, he'll do what he always does cruise to the front when others get tired

Kenny- will crash and finish top 5 with Canard

Hill- wanna bet against him?
Hansen- cherry picking one race wonder
Stewart-would also podium in the big bikes class, needs to stay on 2 wheels to do it, too heavy to win on 250's consistently so rides over his head

Roczen - Outdoor champ and with no RV or Stewie, Ken is the next thing.
Dungey - perennial #2 guy.
Carnard - if he stays up, otherwise Millsaps. Eli will stronger later in the season.

Not really sure who is racing which coast but I'll say (based on last year's Nationals, MEC and Straight line rhythm):
Justin Hill
Webb or J-mart or some other Yamaha Star racing guy riding west (Plessinger?)
Mookie - 250 vet - getting faster every year

1st - Dungey - I think people are forgetting he's working with Aldon Baker now, I'm predicting a new aggressive style from the Dunge.
2nd - Tomac - Tons of raw talent and very aggressive on the track, could be the next Villopoto.
3rd - Canard - Looked great with the kyb's in the outdoors and killed it for 85% of the mec, should be motivated and healthy.

Roczen- anytime I feel he's due for an off race he proves me wrong. Watching him on the start gate and how aggresive he is on the track you can tell his competitive fire and raw DESIRE to win is a step above the others. Reminds me a lot of RC. If he wins 10 this season I won't be surprised.

Canard- Could easily replace this with Tomac, they're pretty even speed wise and both hard to predict at this stage. Canard will be right there and more motivated than ever, and if Ken slips up or gets a bad start I see Trey or Eli taking this round, as they are the fastest guys along with Ken. Technically Millsaps should be included in the fastest group but I won't since he's only fast when he feels like it (and I'm a huge 18 fan, but facts are facts).

3rd place is a crpshoot, probably will be Dungey but who the hell knows. Dunge is turning into Windham indoors and I don't see him really being a title threat unless EVERYBODY gets hurt. Yeah yeah good on him for getting a billion podiums and always being close, but RC and RV didn't rack up titles by winning one main event per season.

Biggest unknown is Reed. If he holeshots and checks out, no surprise. Runs through the pack and wins on the final lap, no surprise. Inexplicably pulls off halfway through, no surprise.

Gonna be a WEIRD year in SX fellas.

Interesting pick with Alex Martin on the podium. I'd be hella pumped to see him do it, seems like one of the really good guys out there.
