One thing I've wondered about is when you are going flat out and approaching a jump, at which point are you supposed to brake so you don't overshoot? Up the face of the jump or the flat right before the face?
- The answer to your question can vary, as SOMETIMES you can brake up a face of a jump if its fairly small. But typically we need a little "blip" to get the front wheel up and bike flying level. Usually you would brake right before the face - then release - blip the throttle on the face - and that way the bike will fly level. If you're applying the brakes on the face of the wrong type of jump, you could end up with a nasty endo!
As for your comment "applying the brakes on the face of the wrong type of jump, you could end up with a nasty endo!"..... been there, done something similar a few years ago! haha. I went arse over tit over a little double jump because my front wheel washed out as I applied too much brake up the face while leaning over slightly. Other than a sprained ankle, nothing but pride was broken.
