I was watching a show the other day on motor coaches and how the athletes / entertainers use them, mostly nascar, and was curious how it works in the motocross industry. Do the the top, elite, riders negotiate these types of perks in their contracts with sponsors, or are they buying these motor homes, hiring drivers, and paying for it out of their own pocket? Are they leasing the motor coach through a company? Anyone have any ideas how this works?

Most of them buy their own. The only one that's provided by a sponsor that I can think of right now is Fly Racing's, which Trey Canard uses during the race season.

How many of the paid guys even bring em? I've never seen more than 5 if I really think about it. Not including privateers, just the people that have their bikes brought in the team truck Wink

I have a motorhome curse or it is cursed. The shit that happened to me in it is legend, one story being published in the legendary "practice track" paper. It is the tale of a "slow" guy picking a guitar on his porch that tried to drag me behind the house when I asked to use his phone whilst the motorhome was broke down. Good times.

Ha! That was the first race I towed the trailer to...High Point, five years ago. I'd picked it up from the dealer, hitched up and towed there right afterwards. I didn't have any experience towing, but figured it out pretty quickly.

I remember somebody that used to take the front wheel of their Husky and wedge it in the hallway of the RV...
