Any of you guy's tried learning another language ?

I had Spanish all through school and know some basic words and I get some calls at work that possibly would lead to more sales if I spoke Spanish.

Not to mention Amnesty is going to cause a huge flood of Latino's

I took French in high school. In my 20's I remembered about 8 or 10 words, couldn't come close to speaking it regularly or understanding it well. I remember hooking up with a girl and convinced her I spoke French. She didn't, but liked the way it sounded. We had crazy sex and I would just make words up and she would moan "oh! keep talking to me like that!". I love crazy bitches. Especially the dumb ones.

What does Rosetta Stone do differently than what you might learn in high school in your opinion?

Anyone ever heard of those translators that can learn a language in a day. . . I find that bizarre and impressive.

Studied French in High School, I live in Wales so I know a bit of Welsh, and my old man was born in Corfu so I know a few Greek words. I'm ace at English though so I'll just stick with that.

hah, that's hilarious. the dumb ones are always fun, i've acted australian with a horrible accent, hell i've even used the "i'm a pro (enter sport here)"... best one yet though i banged a deaf chick a few times about 10 years ago. we just hooked up at a party and then texted to hook up. probably the easiest lay i've ever had, absolutely no work went into it, and i didn't have to worry about holding a conversation. just meet up, fuck, and hit the road. miss those days.

as for Rosetta Stone, i've been thinking about picking it up as well for as much as i go to Mexico i should know how to speak the language

they have a free 6 day trail. its pretty fun. i took 2 years spanish 10 years ago and only remember the basics. currently i am spliting commisions on all my spanish leads because i have to have another agent there to translate. so paying for it will eventually make me more than its going to cost. thats a win in my book.

its pretty amazing to me that there are people here in las vegas who speak 0 english.

would like to see more reviews on the rosseta stone versus this rocket languages before i buy anything tho

We moved to San Antonio 10 years ago and I regret not trying to learn Spanish at that time. I always get a kick out of my Latino female friends pronounce my name Rotney, which is Rodney.
