why is paying more taxes supposed to be more "patriotic"..?
why wouldn't it be more patriotic if these senators cut spending and formed a budget
and didn't spend more than they got
after the 700 billion dollar bail out just shows the congress doen't care what we say

and i'm surprised at you knowing full well that cutting spending and waste is the most important thing next to conserving oil..
the government just spent more than they have ever have ..and now they are talking about another 300 billion stimulus package..they are like drunken sailors
Cut spending? If you're serious how about we start with an unnecessary war in Iraq & no bid contracts to corporate interests who have been shown to be less than forthcoming about accounting for where all the money they've been given to serve the troops lousy food & unclean water went. Better yet, what about all the schools, hospitals, water & electricity services in Iraq that never materialized? Pure boondoggle. Couple that with reasonable taxes for those who can afford it & we might make some progress.
Attack? Hardly. More like stating the obvious.
When Bush gave out all those tax cuts to the wealthy and to corporations were you asking why Bush went and raised taxes for the midde class? Because that was the net effect of his give away to his cronies.
No one likes paying taxes but for fock's sakes ... quit piling them on the middle class. If the "wealthy" have to suck it up a bit I'm not losing sleep. BO is just putting things back the way they were before Dumbya went and sold out the middle class.
Straighten it out down the road.
